  1. Thanks for the links. Should be a good one.
  2. That's an eye catching patriotic paint job. Nice

The big chrome wheels setting off the patina is a real eye grabber.
  4. It must be rewarding to see this one finished after all those years. It certainly looks a treat with the p/e front wheels adding so much to the realism
  5. Monograms' Boss Mustang turned in to my idea of what a salt flats version may look like
  6. That's a easy to follow tutorial with excellent results. Thanks for the heads up.
  7. I recently had a package from HobbyLink Japan intercepted by Customs and I had to prove to Customs the value stated on the customs form was what I had payed for it before they would release it. Since I had payed with Visa it meant a trip down to my bank and a print out on the banks stationery of my Visa statement showing the transaction then a trip back to Customs to show them the proof. This has only happened once in literally hundreds of packages I've imported but does high light how Customs can pick up a undervalued package.
  8. Thats a sharp 40. Nice color combo.
  9. I can see a lot of work has gone in to this one. Congrats on a unique custom.
  10. I've always used a airbrush sandblaster with fine media and then adjusting the air pressure get the finish I require. It gets right down in to the tread of the tire too giving a overall dull grey appearance.
  11. That is sharp. Well done
  12. Super paint job on a car we rarely see on this forum. Well done
  13. A trans kit for the Aston martin engine was recently been released http://www.bestbalsakits.com/tamiya/tamiya-detail.asp?kitnumber=2364
  14. Your really getting serious with this one. This is shaping up to be one cutting edge GTA.
  15. This is a very creative project. Its coming together to be something unique.
  16. Meguiars make Scratch X2.0. Turtle makes Scratch and Swirl remover. I have both here and either will remove even the finest of swirl marks when applied with a decent quality micro fibre cloth
  17. I'll be very interested in the fit of this trans kit after fighting C1 Models Rauh Welt. The fact your Ferrari uses the Fujimi shell as a base and the trans kit just fits to it should make it a lot easier.
  18. Those a very impressive wheels. I'd love to know what the cost of a replacement wheel is. I guess if you can afford the price of the car you could afford to replace one if you curbed it.
  19. Thanks for all the positive comments guys. The finish was a spray can of Powerplus Yellow Glow transferred to the airbrush with flatting base added to knock the shine off it.
  20. That is really incredible work and truely inspirational. Your a real craftsman.
  21. This is Tamiyas' 911 GT2 kit with the addition of a C1 Models Rauh Welt trans kit. This was a challenging build as the supplied body shell needed a lot of work to get it to fit and in to shape. I added Hobby Design brakes and machined my own wheel rims to fit modified Tamiya wheel centres. The front and side skirts were lowered and Hobby Design rivets added. The wheel arches were also modified to add to the the buxom look these cars are known for.
  22. Little needs to be said about Revells' 40 Ford kit. Everything goes together as it should and there is no shortage of different ways to build it. I built mine as a traditional rod.
