  1. Hey Billy, I was cleaning out the stash and found that. I knew that with the direction that my building was taking, I would never get around to it. You were the first I thought of. I can't remember which car the decals are supposed to replicate. I think it is the car of his five hundreth start or something like that. I just always liked that scheme. Make sure to post pics if you ever get around to it. Oh, for everybody else, it was an AMT Terry Labonte NASCAR Monte carlo of Late 90s vintage. Also included were extra decals that I had bought at some time.
  2. Thanks for the quick reply. I am trying to do something like those myself. I have to get an R&M cataloge soon
  3. Hey Ajay, any info on either of the two green roadsters would be appreciated. Great looking rods!!!!!
  4. Hey Billy, email me your snail mailer for a surprise...
  5. Great looking start, even if it is a Gordon car
  6. I am actually one of those 'bloodsucking' tv photographers....
  7. Sorry Jarius, that little omission has been remedied
  8. The Offy is great and the details look super!
  9. Color looks great Bill! Try to keep this project simple
  10. Yeah, Bill, the entire body is BMF'ed. I actually had to break it down into the separate panels. The 'panels' were then BMF'ed. Steel wool is used to scuff the BMF and blend the edges of the BMF seams. I need to stop being so aggressive with the steel wool as I keep scuffing through it. The grill surround and other parts are coated with the metalizer as they would be too diffcult to get a decent look with the BMF.
  11. First up is a 40 ford. Top chopped and body sectioned 3 or so inches Front suspension is from the Goodguys 40 kit along with the engine hop up parts. Next up is a Tamiya Honda S2000 that has been pulled out and restarted. Paint is Tamiya Lime Green Lastly, after the current issue of The Rodder's Journal and several other magazines I decided that I needed a bare metal hot rod in my garage. Out came a Revell 32 roadster and the BMF sheet. Some parts will get Testor's Buffing Aluminum Plate metalizer. Right now, the project has ground to a halt as I need more BMF.
  12. If you are very carefull, you can separate the leaf spring from the axle after several passes with the backside of a #11 exacto blade. You could scratch some new springs from sheet styrene as well.
  13. I have a Javelin kit just waiting for this treatment. WE NEED DETAILS MAN!!!!!! I am guess that most of the kit is from aftermarket sources, but I would love to know which ones. Great job and I too recomend the mirror!!!!!!
  14. Not a ford, but greatly influenced by the 40 ford Revell Big John 40 Willys. Top has been chopped 3 scale inches. Body has been sectioned 4 inches through the beltline. 40 ford rear fenders grafted in. Front and rear fenders widened 3 scale inches. Chassis is out of the AMT 39 wagonrod. It was shortened to alter the wheelbase. The four link rear has been modified to a four link trianglulated rear to better fit the Willys floorboard. The engine has not been decided as of this junction in time. Leaning right now towards the Hemi in the kit with the EFI out of AMT's 71 Duster street machine. A rip-off of Steve Millberry The chassis on this one is a modification of the chassis in any of the revell Lil John Buttera kits. Body is standard AMT 29 roadster smoothed. Engine is out of the Revell Speedwagon kit. Exhaust is hand formed from wire. Interior is still being built as the floorboards, sidewalls and rear bulkhead have been custom made from .40 styrene. The seat is from the same speedwagon kit.
