  1. Thats just too nice to be a rat! Good work!
  2. My dad has one of the originals from when he was younger, those slicks look bigger than the ones on the original, but maybe its just me...
  3. That's why I'm glad my dad has a good ole fashioned junkyard...dirt, mud, weeds, trees and all. It's my favorite place to go to relax, what can I say, being around old American iron puts me at peace! One of these days ill head out there with my camera and give you folks some reference pics of my own!
  4. I wish I knew the proper way cause so far my tool of choice so far has been scissors...haha scary huh? but is mainly been on the 20's and 30's fords, mostly flat thin surfaces..
  5. I raced one of these cars a few times..... on Gran Turismo 3 for Playstation 2.... lol But anywho, your build looks good! Not being much of a Ford fan, I like the looks of the focus for some odd reason.
  6. anything that is bright green has my attention! Those wheels look just right for this car too. I wanna see more pics!!!
  7. to go fast! duh! I think people need to stop dissing everyone else's hobbies or personal preferences of cars and start enthusing each other to keep doing what they are doing. Heck atleast theyre interested in cars instead of something useless! that was nothing personal towards you moparkid, but i just thought id say that since im part of a drag racing family but just from being on these model forums ive changed a lot of my views of different ways to do both model cars and the real thing and learned to respect what they do. but anywho enough of that, i came here to check out this car! This is the first "donk" (personally i think they need a better word...lol) that i really like, it honestly looks good like that! keep it up!
  8. Sweetness... that is wild! It's beautifully ugly in such a good way! haha Very unique indeed!
  9. Looks good. A friend of my dad used to have a real one about that same color.
  10. It's strange to me seeing a junkyard where the ground is covered in gravel, im used to dirt and tall weeds!
  11. Awesome work!
  12. Wow, looks excellent!
  13. It does look like the type too lurk around... lol
  14. Hey I have one of those! And it will be built using some resin parts from some one... who could it be? lol
  15. Looking good!
  16. It is pretty fun I will admit. nothing really for the front end, im debating whether to use an A arm set up or a straight axle.. lol it will all be movable also, if i use the straight axle i can get the front lifted up in the air too
  17. its for extra height. i mean i could have just put one set further forward more towards the front of the swing arms to get the same height but i wanted to make something different. its probably not something you'd want to do in real life but since its a model im gonna have fun with it.
  18. Well I've been hangin out at the Layitlow forum and I was suckered into building a lowrider. haha, ok I was willing so what. This is my first attempt at this since im not totally big into lowriders but I already had a few ideas. if it was 1:1 it would probably be a hopper, but I had an idea for the rear suspension, so here's a rough prototype of the suspension i was thinking of. There's two different swing arms from the rear end, so that means two seperate sets of cylinders in the back. the first set go directly to the rear end, which in this little mock up theyre a little to close to the pumpkin but ill work that out later, once the are fully extended the second second set are hooked to the second swing arm, which the first set are mounted to and this set is mounted to the actual frame. just look at the pics if confused.lol Im using a 64/65 chevy body with an interchangable box. obviously pre front suspension drop, its just sittin on a metal axle, the rear will sit lower too once i mod the frame. i like it really. the wheels kept wanting to roll around, thats why the fronts sit back when the back is in the air.
  19. its been runnin fine and dandy here, i guess im just lucky. lol
  20. Well at that speed I think you wont have a problem taking that curve up ahead!
  21. Wow! that's wicked!
  22. looks good, ive been waitin for the update on this thing!
  23. haha i loved that car in the movie
