  1. I think I may have some Mcguires plastic polish in the garage, if not I'll get some Novus polish and give it a try. Thanks everyone for your input!
  2. Thanks for the dimensions Kristof! A couple days ago I had some leftover .090" (2.5mm) thick plexiglass that I cut the same size as the glass panels in the Milsbo cabinet. (And very close to your dimensions.) I wanted to see how much the plexiglass would bow in the middle when supporting just itself. It bowed quite a lot. I like shoopdogs idea to support the plexiglass with glass bottles. At this point in time I don't need the extra shelves but I will soon as I complete more builds. When that time arrives, I'll decide to have some glass cut or use plexiglass.
  3. Got a couple minor "blemishes" on this windshield. Not deep scratches just light blemishes I'll call them. I've got some 12,000 grit sandpaper but I'm afraid that is probably too harsh to remove them, but I haven't tried it yet. Any suggestions? TIA
  4. Beautiful, especially that flawless paint job!
  5. +1 on what everyone has said. Amazing work!
  6. Wow, that is beautiful! The trim details especially around all the glass is amazing.

    Cherry bomb.

    Sweet! Nice color and stance.
  8. Lovin' the paint and wheels also! And the engine detailing! Can I ask what the color is?
  9. I had a diecast one (an 1800 GT) as a kid, a Corgi Toy. I don't remember mine having a driver figure though. Hoping that one in 1/24 or 1/25 would be available.
  10. Cool car Trevor! I've never seen that car before. Here is an article about Frank and the 1600: https://silodrome.com/marcos-gt-plywood-chassis/ Before the Marcos 1600,Frank was involved in the development and design of the de Havilland Mosquito airplane, also known as the “Wooden Wonder.”
  11. Thanks guys!
  12. Thanks karbuildr! Thanks Espo! Thanks Pappy! Thanks Mike! Thanks Charger74!
  13. Thanks AMT68. I used Model Master Pontiac Engine Blue Metallic #TS2728 for the engine. The kit went together well, really no issues and very little flash. The 'stem' or 'tab' on the gearshift lever protrudes through the transmission tunnel and needs to be trimmed off once it's glued in place. If you don't cut it off it will interfere with the transmission, making it difficult to locate the body correctly on the chassis. (At least for me anyway.)
  14. Just throwing this out there….does or has anyone ever made a kit of a Marcos 1600 GT? https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1968-marcos-1600-gt
  15. Thanks Robert! A guy I used to work with had one the same color except with black interior. l always liked the looks of these early Firebirds. Thanks Jim! Thanks Chris! Thanks Stuart!
  16. I finished this up yesterday. Painted with PPG automobile paint (Verdoro green) over gray primer and clear coated. Had some trouble with the PPG the first time around (ambient temp too cool I think) so I stripped it and repainted it.
