  1. Ran up to Atomic city rod and custom today and Jack gave me a flyer on the way out. I can't make it so I thought I would pass it along

  2. Thats where I got my first batch, good luck!
  3. Very nice builds guys. I'll throw my hat in the ring. I'll go with this 57 Fairlane, building it for my father n law, he's a big ford guy. I got the checker box copy off a guy at work, was missing parts. So I picked up the flashback kit, then my son brought me another one from ollies. So out of three kits I should be able to at least two full cars, then use the third for maybe a weekend drag car or something. Anyway, I got the engine almost done, I'll work on it in between the next cannonball build.
  4. You could try UV resin. Get some alluminite molding putty, mix it up then press it on the molded in lights, Then fill them in with clear uv resin and cure it with a uv light. Really cheap and simple to do. Hope this helps
  5. Got a sheet of bare metal foil...didn't have time to run to the hobby shop...They shipped it folded in half! Heck, the envilope was big enough to fit it in flat. Luckily I was able to cut the folded part out. Guess whoever packed it don't know what foil is.
  6. I'm liking most of suggestions so far.
  7. Peking to Paris was a blast!
  8. I like a lot of MeatMans ideas, the police idea is pretty cool too. Ohio has some pretty nice highway patrol units.
  9. Nice job on the Charger Pat, the gold really sets it off! The Fairlane turned out nice Gerardo, really like the blacked out trim work. Everybody turned out some nice builds!
  10. Nice Vega Meatman. Guys made those Vegas into cool drag cars.
  11. The 68 dart is done. Printed parts: Belt buckles, and window cranks Battery terminal clamps and battery Dog dish hubs, sprayed with revell chrome, and steelies were pour casted Tool box, cooler, extinguisher, jerry can CB radio and magnetic antenna Fuzzbuster over the rear view mirror...Thanks Meatman Fuel cell and lines Think that's it, paint is Tamiya racing blue TS-51. Lots of bare metal foil, more than I thought there would be. Used chrome markers and a dark blue art marker for touch ups. Tires are out of the amt parts pack. Gave me a few fits, mainly with paint and glass, but I got it ready to go.
  12. Done. Had a few mishaps along the way, mostly paint. I'll get some more pics up in the finished thread. Ready for next years run when we get it figured out.
  13. Well, on the home stretch now, going to use decals for the badges and marker lights, have a few details under the hood yet. Should have this knocked out tomorrow. Everybody's kickin a on this group build, gonna be a nice finish!
  14. Very nice, love that red.
  15. Unlimited idea sounds good, can't remember the last time I built a super car, maybe a testors pantera my grandma got me for x-mas in the 70s. Would be fun.
  16. No, this could be a different build, strike this.
  17. After I posted the wagon idea I got to thinking. Back in the early to mid 2000s when bmc(brians model cars) was still going, heck, I didn't know what group builds were, but if I remember, they were just finishing up a tri 5 chevy build. Right about the same time that was finishing up I think I think the next theme was, Drag it to the Track, or something like that. Think they ment with trailer or chains. Just a thought.
  18. Wagons maybe? If it's been done it was probably a while back.
  19. Got paint, tamiya ts-51 racing blue. Need to do the bare metal, little decals, and the rest of the small bits. Got a month, need to cram!
  20. Got the 440 installed, Took one more mockup pic before paint. Gonna try to get the nose to sit down a little on final assembly.
  21. Getting close to finishing the Dart. Got the hood and trunk lid hinged, with magnets. Dog dishes made in tinkercad and painted with revell chrome. The fuel cell, lines, and jerry can were printed. Interior done. Tool box was printed, thanx Meatman. As was the cooler, extinguisher, window cranks ,and belt buckles. The cb was a 1/8 file scaled down. Hope to throw some paint on this weekend.
