I've never tried to build anything like that, but would be willing to try. Maybe squeeze a 2010 Camaro running gear and parts of the interior into 80 Dodge Ram. Something like that?

Hey Tim, another Tim from Ohio here. I'm in Miamisburg, bout 9 miles south of Dayton. Welcome aboard!

That's funny Joe, I grew up...but don't remember allot of the 80s...we all had 60s and 70s cars. Wish I still had a few of them

I'm liking lunajammers idea of cannonball gps, and also the radwood from oldcar. Great ideas!
-
Great taco holders too!

I'd definitely be in on the pan-am build. Had allot of fun in the p to p build. I agree with it's own separate build. as for this one, I'll be into what ever is voted in if I can.

Shout out to Model Roundup! First time ordering and very impressed. The chrome paint (can't wait to try it out, weather permitting) and detail parts to finish my sons Camaro. I'll definitely be ordering from them again.

I have a can on the way from model roundup. I'm curious about this chrome paint also. From the previous posts, it looks really promising. it is expensive Gonna try it on some old worn out baby moon rims. I'll post pics when I get them done.

All these builds are looking awesome. This is the last few months of updates. Got the racing green on it. and was still trying to figure out some wheels. Finally settled on these They were black so I painted them in a steel color, the black looked a little toyish to me. Here it sat a few months ago. Copied that cooler with allumilite resin, my first go at resin casting, did some steelies too. The roll cage didn't fit so I left it out. Did some wiring on the firewall and inner fenders. Here's how she sets right now, just got to finish up some painting, door handles and marker lights, that kind of stuff. Then put the rest of it together Should be able to finish up before the end of the month. -
Thanx for the info fellas. I'll probably go with the masking method.
-
Has anyone tried black bare metal foil? I was thinking about picking up a sheet and trying some out on my cannonball build. Wanted to get some input before I try.

Great stuff. The boat and flying machine has really got my interest. Thanks for sharing.

Nice 24hr job on that Merc Sam. Got a little done on the VW. Worked on the fender flares and front end. I want to use the rally front end so I had to drill out for the headlights. Got them a little crooked, but once I get the lenses in they should cover that up. Used the buckets out of a couple 69 Camaro kits The started messin with the wheel set up. I think the kit wheels are a little on the small side so I got these others out of a Supra kit I think. I'll probably go with Supra wheels if I can figure out how to mount them. That front flare looks to be way off but its not. It's the shadow playing tricks. Not really sure what the cutouts are for on the fender flares, maybe to cool off the brakes? Thinking about covering them up, not sure yet. Was reading on the site the other day. a subject came up about British racing green. I used some old testors stuff on a Jim Clark indy car a long time ago and really liked it. Thinking about going that way with the color. -

Taken in my parents driveway, 1976. I just turned 13 and mom let me use the only camera we had. The Movin on and Watkins Kenworths were probably the first issues. I remember using masking tape and spray bombs. The A.C. I think is Wasp. Found these going thru old pictures. I remember being so excited when we got the pics back.

Yea, Not Fragile one of the few albums I can let play all the way without stopping, the do it again! RIP Robbie.

My grandsons and I built that one and another, can't remember which one. They were fun to do. Looks good!

This one I've had for years. I haven't charged the battery in well over a month. Still going. I had to buy the gray one for the battery in the dog grooming section from lowes, think it was like 20 bucks. The blue mini mite in low is the prefect speed for building, the gray one doesn't go that low. The blue one is model 754. When I find another I'll snag it up.
