Now, this is scary...
Tyreman replied to Matt Bacon's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Is this the scary part? must have been learning about show paint but got white mixed up with black? sounds like learning from the old man so theft! stolen clearly from Scale Model Techniques fundamental Friday? Matt you published not AI... so theft from "Scale Model Technigues" i can give examples almost word for word...almost the problem proving this is not good Matt and thanks for the example. Surface preparation took considerable time. Even though the molding is excellent, achieving a show-quality finish requires progressive sanding with 600, 800, and 1200-grit papers, followed by polishing compound. This is especially critical when using light colors like the Championship White, as any imperfections will be glaringly obvious under the final clear coat. Critical Point: Don't rush the body preparation. The NSX's clean, simple lines mean there's nowhere to hide imperfections. -
An interesting view yes...show someone who knows nothing and they like them!....now cars Italian with an American V8 all the rage here... junk to them a few years ago not 100% Italian..the Pantera a good example....the same people poo poo a Mustang BOSS 351....i will take the Mustang any day..... we both know the Avanti a great car!

I if i drove that in the UK they would say i am compensating for something? Yes i am envious! to be perfectly clear! very cool Sir
-
Sadly nothing! i am 52 in the UK with a clean driving license...I have a disability no fault of mine and currently unable to work...so legal in the UK for insurance companys to charge more than double insurance...mine went up almost 5x £250 to £1,100 for a junker! now cheaper to get a taxi every journey..i can not get classic car insurance because i need to have a daily car insurance to qualify...i can not even visit the USA because i am refused travel insurance...so i may as well be from the middle east! it is the main reason i build models now... 1:1 over for the near future for me
-
I love the 1:1 and the build....one of the cars i mention to none car people and they love it! i prefer the looks to the Etype...this is Gender neautral so everyone likes... perfection in design.
