  1. The front from the Lindburg Topialino (sp) may work.
  2. I started as a builder and as life got in the way, work, kid, ,house the normal stuff we all have going on at time or another became a collector. Now that things seem to have evened out, I have started to build again. I also have few of those kits that thought I would never build because of the amount of money that I paid for them. But they are looking more inviting every day. Now if I could find a color for that turbine car other than the bronze I may have something. To sum it up build it and have all the fun that the kit was designed to give you. Gary
  3. A snowblower would be nice but my driveway is about the size of a postage stamp compared to others. It is not worth the investment to me. Of course I may think differently in a few years. I will take the snow over ice storms any day. The roads are in better shape today. The Mndot do great work. Gary
  4. Although it is not model related, I got 12.4 inches of snow (Monday). Our football forgot to go the game on Sunday and was royally spanked< Mother nature decided to give us the biggest snowfall of the season the next day. That really makes people situp and pay attention. Another hour of shoveling and I won't have to go to the gym for a couple of days(silver lining). Gary
  5. Me likey. Put me down for a couple. And my wife thought I was the only one that lusted for wagons. My fav in the 1:1 world as well. All hail longroofs!!!!!
  6. Me want one or a dozen. Would look great as a load on a transport to your local Ford dealer. Gary
  7. This didn't erk me but it made me realize that summer or even fall is over. I work overnights at a big box home improvement store. Last night at 10:00 I was unloading drywall in a snow storm. Gary
  8. Thank you. Will try them all. Gary
  9. I have a 1/16th 1931 Bugatti Royale that I want to begin but the instructions are in Japanese. Is the somewhere online I can get them over to English? Gary
  10. I like the scale because there are a wide array of kits to borrow from, not as many as 1/24 or 1/25, more that 1/12 or 1/8. As a builder that does not do a lot over the top subjects it is a nice choise. As I age the eyesight is not as good as it once was. But most of all I like the size and the level of detail that can be or not added works for me. Gary
  11. I would love to see this in 1/16th. It would be downright nasty with a Cobra 427 in it, or as a wheel stander ala Gas Monkey. Gary
  12. Very nice factory fresh. love the tractor. great combo. Gary
  13. Have lathe, will travel? When I go somewhere I like to bring extra socks and drawers. Never thought about a lathe. At least you have it with because the pulleys and belts on that kit are really bad. Like you said "you will the only one who will know" and that's all that matters. Gary
  14. Great build. Nice to see one that has been brought to the mid to late '70's. Nice color and enough detail to be pleasing and not over the top. I hope when I do mine, it turns out as well. Gary
  15. Two things that make want to leave someone bleeding by the side of the road. No one seems to know or understand what a stop sign means and what a safe distance to give the car in front of you. Almost got t-boned twice on the way home today( it's a 15 minute drive). If you have to be so close to me and have to get in front leave the house 5 minutes earlier.
  16. Nicely done. A lot of detail in a small package. To bad my eyes are so bad that I could not tackle some thing like this. Gary
  17. My .02, tri-five Nomads, any 300 series, late '50's Caddy, or any long roof.
  18. cool build I wondered if anyone did this body or even the 3 window. will watch for sure. Gary
  19. Tyrone Malone's "Papa Truck" and Mpc 1/16 Pontiac Firebird.
  20. awesome color combo
  21. very nice factory fresh look
  22. Harry....Harry....Harry You are building a car that I built about 20 years ago. As for the material that you thread the wheels with, mine look as good as the day I finished them. This is a car that was built way before any thought of doing research on the car itself was any consideration on my part. While yours will make mine look like it was built by someone of lesser skills(and it was),I still have visions or nightmares of lacing those wheels. All in all it was fun. Gary
  23. Thanks guys. This place is the best.
  24. Well, it's seems like I opened a huge can of worms for myself. I was aware of the height or lack thereof on the bodies of the by the two manufacturers. At the time these were made that's what everyone wanted and the look so good that way. Like I said I have built may this way. Now it would be nice to see the true stocker and that's what I want to do. Can you suggest any books or websites to look at for more info? As far as the kits, I probably use one or two as a base and work the magic with other mediums. I don't have an problem working out tech issues.(I was a toolmaker for 30 years). Thanks for the info and will read and listen to it all.
  25. I guess that I was pretty vague when I asked the question. I work overnights and was just out of bed when I asked. I agree that the '32's from Amt are good. I've built several. As for what I want, I would really would like the roadster. But any body style would work. I have not done anything with diecast although that could be an option. Thank you for your input. Gary
