What kinds of cars do you like to build? I don't want to inundate you with links you don't want. I'll give some generic links, and some paint links. http://www.rocketfin.com/model_car_links.html http://italianhorses.net/ http://www.scalemodel.net/ http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/ http://www.nwrfca.org/faq/colors.htm I hope this helps. I modified a Revell snap Camaro to be a little closer to the new production Camaro RS. The front air scoop was filled, and the gas cap was moved to the passenger side of the body. This was a simple car to build and went together really well. The color is Scalefinishes Chevrolet Summit White. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Thanks Jameston

That is one nice looking car! I love the gold wheels, they really set off the red. Jameston

Thanks for the feedback. I've had that 67 kit for years, always in my pile of kits, never getting built. It was going to be Eleanore, then a mild custom, then a radical custom, then custom wheels, maybe a spoiler......... I didn't want to build a just a straight stock GT. When I first heard of the color I laughed. But after I Googled it and learned a little about it, I was interested in what it really looked like. Then seeing it in person at the paint store I was sold. It's actually a really nice color. Something fun and definitely something different. Jameston

Mopar '69 "Recall" wheels...
Scalefinishes replied to LVZ2881's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I would try Testors Metalizer Steel over flat black. Jameston -
I finished my second mustang. Special order color. "Playboy Pink" with a black interior. This was a good simple build. No issues with any of the parts fit or finish. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Jameston

I figured with the announcement that Revell is going to release the California in July (LOL!), I'd get a jump start on planning out my build. Check this out. http://www.ferraricalifornia.com Jameston

The only C6 convertable I recall was the snap together kit. Jameston -
Can anyone tell me what this started as?
Scalefinishes replied to kk916's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If you're planning on building a copy of this, it's using C3 Corvette mirrors. The color looks allot like HOK snowwhite pearl paint. Jameston -
That is nice. Flawless paint, black is a hard color to get right. You did an amazing job. You can't beat the kit decals. I love how nice they look applied to the car. I love the tire transfers. The white lettering really sets of the wheels. Good job. Jameston

The Bellagio Custom 1962 Chevy Bel Air
Scalefinishes replied to robertburns's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Due to a series of setbacks this had taken the back burner. Now it's coming together! I just got the bed roughed in. Here's a pic. I'm off work all weekend, and plan to get this finished by Saturday at the latest. It should be in paint by then also. Updates as they come. Jameston -
I really like that color without the clear. Team that with some flat black wheels, it would look sinister. Jameston

Oil Patch rig up
Scalefinishes replied to mackinac359's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Is that MOW truck pulling that rail car behind it? I love the Oil rig. I'm planning on building an oilfield winch truck myself. Jameston -
Mack interior color?
Scalefinishes replied to studioman3's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I don't know if all these colors were used on the RD, but here is a list of interior colors Mack used. Medium Warm Gray Neutral Gray Anthracite Dark Charcoal Lite Charcoal Warm Gray Saddle Brown Dark Titanium Mack Black You can get some generic interior colors from SEM at any good auto parts store. The SEM colors are nice, just spray the colors over bare plastic. Gives a nice leather like sheen. I hope this helps Jameston -
Now, that would be fun to drive! I love it. Nice build. Jameston

Alright, It's done! Revell did a fine job on this kit. Everything went together smoothly and it looks killer when finished. This is built OOB to resemble a restored car. The paint is two stage and the under body has no overspray. Scalefinishes Sapphire blue paint and clearcoat. The gold stripes are kit decals. Interior was painted with a black interior paint I'm testing. The carpeting is black embossing powder. check out the build at http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16808 Thanks for looking. Jameston

Thanks for the info on the wheels guys. I Personally like the look of the later wheels. Plus the car they're going on is not going to be stock anyway. I'll post the build of the car I'm using the wheels on. Thanks to everyone who looked, and commented on the build. The car is done and now posted in "under glass". http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17084 Jameston

That would look killer with a yellow interior, and stripe around the wheels. IMHO. Jameston

Thanks Dave. GMP is out of stock with the Shelby wheels. Are they 1/24Th? If so I'm buying some as soon as they are available. This kit is so nice to build, I've decided to build all four color combos available, and I would like to run a different wheel set on at least one of the cars. The stripes are kit decals covered with Scalefinishes clearcoat. Ball joint Assembly is what Ford was worried about. Who cares about rust? It's cheaper to build them that way. Jameston

I don't know why that didn't work. Now, for a second try.

The interior is almost finished. I painted it with a product I have been testing, I think it turned out great! The carpet is embossing powder. A little trick I learned here! Thanks for looking and for all the feedback. Soon I'll have it complete and posted in the under glass section. <a href="http://hotimg25.fotki.com/p/a/76_8/202_141/DSC00911.jpg" title="FREE Fotki Image Hosting"><img src="http://hotimg25.fotki.com/a/76_8/202_141/DSC00911-th.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a> Jameston
