  1. Thank you Brendan. That is one great looking model, I've aways liked the BTCC cars. Now you need to send me some pics for the Scalefinishes.com Gallery. Kurt, and Chris, thanks guys. I'm glad you like the paints. Really, It's the modeling skills that you guys have that make my paint look so good.
  2. I am surprised no one has mentioned the AMT '71 Mustang. WOW! that was a horrible kit, start to finish. http://www.modelexpress.net/cgi-bin/modele.../AMT_38160.html
  3. Now, the page is up and running. It is a bit simple, but as the build progresses so will the page. Check it out. Just click the snowball link on the bottom of the Scalefinishes.com navigation frame. Thanks, Jameston
  4. I'm in! I've been wanting to build a Bonneville car for some time. Now I just need to pick a car to build. Jameston
  5. I don't Know, another line of paints my LHS can have out of stock, might be a great idea. I agree with Monty. The money for the paint would have been much better spent on some new/different models. IMHO Jameston
  6. Gregg took some pics of the Moebius display. No Models but some info on what's coming. http://modelcarsmag.com/iHobbyFriday/index6.html Jameston
  7. SOLD! I take cash, cashier checks, money orders, Wire transfers, and PayPal. LOL. Seriously, thank you to everyone for the positive response. I wasn't sure how the car was going to turn out, I was kind of making it up as I went. The wheels really didn't match the car at first, and I was thinking of changing them. Now I'm glad I stuck with them. Thanks again, Jameston
  8. 2006 Mustang GT. Custom Ferrari Rosso Fiorano paint with PAINTED Ford HP White stripes. New Supercharged Ford Motorsports 4.6l three valve crate engine. Lowered enough to make the color matched Mr. Model "Kick" wheels look good, but no other modifications. Gray/black interior is spotless. This is a great car, and definite must see! 9. I need some of the bolts. Does Ma's have a website? Jameston
  10. It took me a second to find this. Check this link for info on B trains, I'm not sure what page they are on. http://ann2.doepker.com/products.aspx Hope this helps, Jameston
  11. I don't know if this really helps, But I have the Revell 06 GT, the 08 Bullitt, and the 06 Hertz mustang's. None of the kits are the 4 valve heads, nor do they have the superchargers. Jameston
  12. These would make great models, but why would DOE release pictures of what has too be the biggest security concern on the road? http://www.foe.org/photos-nuke-transport-trucks-released Jameston
  13. This is all the info I have on Chevrolet engine colors. Chevy Engine Colors 1929-at least 1972: 1929-52 all engines: Dark Gray (Modelmaster US Navy Engine Gray is a pretty decent match) 1953-62 Blue Flame 235cid 6-cylinder Chevrolet Engine Blue (available in spray cans at most auto supply stores) also, Plasticote Odds N Ends enamel in bottles Marina Blue is very close to Chevy Engine Blue. 1955-56 265cid V8 (all passenger cars & Corvette) Chevrolet Engine Red (Modelmaster has this color--not to be confused with Chevrolet Engine Orange, it isn't!) CHEVROLET script on valve covers stenciled in black. 1957 265cid V8 Light yellow (with stenciled CHEVROLET script on valve covers in black 1957-on 283cid V8 Chevrolet Engine Orange ('57 has CHEVROLET script on valve covers stenciled in black) 1958-72 at least All passenger cars and Corvette V8 engines Chevrolet Engine Orange, color of valve covers could vary from this with high performance big block engines. 1962-72 140cid 4-cylinder, 194, 230, 250cid 6-cylinder Chevrolet Engine Orange As a general rule, those parts which were bolted on after the basic engines were assembled and painted (in practice, blocks, heads, iron intake manifolds, iron exhaust manifolds, water pumps, crankshaft pulley, oil pans and bellhousings were all bolted in place and the engines painted as a unit) were semi-gloss black, pretty much the standard paint for Delco (starters, generators, coils) and AC (air cleaner, fan, power steering units and their respective pulleys). AC cartridge (optional oil filters for 216, 235 6's, and 265cid & early 283 V8's) were painted by AC as follows: Bright orange filter body, with royal blue upper "cap". AC full-flow, spin-on oil filters back then (1958 onward) were white. I copied this from an online post a long time ago. If this belongs to anyone here, I would be happy to give you credit for it. Let me know who you are. Jameston

  15. I found it! The color is listed on the Scalefinishes.com home page. Jameston
  16. If you are going to use an airbrush, I can get that color for $12.50 a 2oz. bottle. The color is Ford paint code U PPG#12745 DuPont# 4876. If you need it in a spray can, any good paint shop should be able to mix the color no problem. I hope this helps, Jameston

  24. I must admit I'm not a huge fan of the new Challenger, but I did like the round2 kit... After I got used to the way they engineered it anyway. The kit is actually really easy to build, and the parts fit flawlessly. There was an issue with sink marks on the deck lid, but was easy enough to fix. The decals are amazing, and you end up with almost two entire sets on the sheet. Overall a great kit, especially for a curbside. Okay, enough talk, onto the pics. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki The color is 60/70s Dodge high impact Green go. The interior is DV Dark Slate, an interior dye, that covers the round2 vinyl seats perfectly. Thanks for looking. Jameston
