Can you use this method to make a body bag? I know its a wierd question but im looking to detail out my 64 crime scene wagon. -
Nice job so far bro. Heres a tip though unless its too late. Open up those clear bar lights and put a color matching(according to the movie) dot in the bulb area to simulate the light bulbs. It will make it look way more realistic .

If you would provide more pics of this hearse it would be helpful for those who are planning to build one like this.

Well i got the top body work done and found a light for the top since it will be a crime scene wagon. Time to tell exactly what went on with it so far. I used some instacure as filler and sprayed it with the kicker to harden it.I then sanded it all down with automotive 600 grit sand parer until is was smooth. The light i got off a 78 or 79 ford LTD cop car kit so it will match the period correct style of lights offered. Pics. Here i filled in the decorative iron bar mounts. At this point you can cut a window to make a window hearse, leave it as is and tape over it to make a landau hearse, or sand it all smooth for a painted hearse. The light.

Actually bro all the paints are krylon except the last clear coat(its folkart high gloss) I mixed the pearl in with the krylon gloss clear and shot a few cover coats. Then i sprayed a few mist coats of the folkart before i layed the wet coat to seal it all. So far this type of technique has worked on over 30 builds and has not failed yet.

Well this was sold to me by a friend for $60. It was built and nice looking but i didn't like the testor rootbeer brown on it so i asked if i could change it and his response was its yours do what you want to it. So i stripped it down, cut the trunk open, repainted it celery green (by krylon) and shot a coat of green pearl over it, i also gave him his rims back and swapped them with some 1109's. Heres the pics paint day today after waxing and foil I still need to work on a filler to cover the trunk floor and a sub box for the trunk.More to come so stay tuned.

Yes it is foamcore i got them for free due to some water damages in the corners but they can be covered.

ANYONE USING KRYLON PAINT ?
evilone replied to ROY AVERY's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I use krylon on most of my builds. I use the metallics as candies, the gloss and simi gloss as bases on my pearl paints, and the clear as a intercoat and to lay a layer of pearl or flake on said gloss or simi gloss paints.I have yet to encounter a problem that the DOT3 tank or the bleach white tank cant fix. Here are some exapmles of krylon paint jobs. However i do not use krylon clear as a clear coat on any of my builds due to the fact it yellows every paintjobs that are older then 3 months . Hope this helps bro -

What's ur favourite build?
evilone replied to cazxr2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Well thats a hard one but since i have a hearse and i can fit alot of stuff in it i would say all my hearse builds would be saved. If i had some extra time i would save my four door 79 caddy as well. Heres the 79 Theres a story behind it but its a little lengthy to post so i'll save you the reading effort LOL -
Well bust out the gold shovels because undead customs is under construction . This is your one stop shop for all your cadillac custom needs and we specialize in hearses . Theres gona be two levels on the rightside of the shop will be the parts locker and on the leftside will be the designing/Bossman's office the staircase leading up to the second story will be in the center. To honor this ground breaking the boss decided to get a new cadillac and customize it as the shop is being built. the roof of the boss's caddy Look we already have clients lining up.

NO problem bro i wasn't taking it out on you. We are cool now worries. Its the fact that someone took a hearse and disrespected it as a attempt to be cool. I know for a fact in other countries such as asian countries if you got a hearse and did this you would be in deep trouble as the hearses there are a derect link to the dead. Here in the states we don't care about the dead and disrespect them by destroying their last rides. If i got the adress of every that lifted or disrespected hearses i would have warehouses full of hearses waiting to get their dignity back. I will how ever say that posting this did give me ideas to build a diorama full of hearses being repaired and customized(respectfully that is LOL) so i will thank you for that

ok i'll work on one this weekend and will post pics of it -
Dude you guys rock! Now when i get some cash this weekend i can go get the stuff to start my diorama. Im currently drawing it out and trying to find where to place 8 or 9 hearses, two trucks, and some regular cars. Another question though. Where do you guys get the parts boxes (stereo unit, speaker packaging, oil cans, spray paint cans and stuff like that)?
-
thanks man this helps me out a ton now i know that to looks for and where
-
This will be my first diorama ever so im kinda wet behind the ears.I have all the cars but need to make the shop.Any info will help me and will greatly be apreciated. A few questions i have is what material is needed for the walls and the base? Where can i find the shop tools such as grinders, tool boxes, welders, and lifts?
-
Heres a tip bro. I have been in a engine rebuilding class and would give you some ideas to make this diorama over the top. Make a work bench and holders for the heads, crank, and pistons (usually the crank holder and head holders are simple items made out of wood to keep them off flat surfaces and prevent damage) then place then get a tool box ang make the floor greasy. Hope these ideas help you make this diorama better .

Any Transformers fans out there?
evilone replied to tuffone20's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Those are the only nascars that i would like to see. Hopefully in the movie they will make more right turns then left turns LOL -
I will gladly announce that there will never be a build up of a lifted hearse in my future nor a actual lifted hearse.I view them as a disrespect towards those who have rode in it as well as their families.Basically to me lifting a hearse is as bad as pissing on a persons grave. On a good note though if someone would tell me what year it is i will gladly build a RESPECTFULL hearse if i can find the kit and or the resin conversion
