International 4300
mistermodel replied to Rick Schmidt's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Cats were allmost nonexistant in internationals.Yes, a rebuild probably would be yellow and the fact that a 4300 would have more likley had a cat retro fitted ,or maybe sold as a glider kit, yellow would work.If it was factory fitted it would have been red.You can do what you want ,because anything goes after it leaves the factory.I just don't know why you didn't leave it the way it was???????? I like his stuff also, but you can only see it in the mag,he doesn't seem to do any on line stuff over there. KEVIN -

I'm loving all your builds, but the F150 is my favorit,as I owned one close to that colour combo. It looks like you even got the proper ford toe-in built into it also. KEVIN -

Got it painted. KEVIN -
The single axle would look much better with that trailerIMHO. I'm not 100%sure,but a 900 is a gas job,and a 9000 is diesel A tandem would be a CT900,orCT9000. they were c700,and c800 also depending on the gvw rating. A good diesel swap would be the cat from an amt loiseville. Tose C cabs were made from '57 to the mid '90's. KEVIN

Motorhome by Neoplan Cityliner
mistermodel replied to Dingo's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
If it's calculated like it is here in canada it's liters per 100 kilometers.Unlike miles per gallon, less is more, for example 9/per 100.I think todays econmy cars are 6/per 100. KEVIN -
I started this 2 weeks ago.I'm working on the frame now. Here's what I've got done so far. FIREWALL-added air, heater, andwindshield washer hoses. Also added scratch built powersteering resivior and a few wires. ENGINE- added A/c,water,fuel,and power steering hoses. Also altinator wires. Put an air filter and lines on transmisson. KEVIN

I didn't respond to the 2"experts" on that other forum about your hot rod '26,but I'm going to respond to this thread. I guess I'm in the .01% that likes you building something unique. IF ANYONE ON ANY FORUM DOESN'T LIKE WHAT THEY SEE---SHUT UP. These forums are to be fun, same as model building. KEVIN -
I off set the cuts on the last one I did,its much better.I also cut the frame on an angle wrather than straight. This gives more glue surfice, and its how its done in 1:1

Bandag Bandit
mistermodel replied to bitner's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Great trucks.I saw Tyrone's fleet(including the whale) at a car show once.He even had a corvette"smokey"to complement the trucks. Now you have to build his first racer,"the boss truck of america".I think there was an old coe White with a rear mount aircraft 12 cylinder engine that toured with him, later on.I may have a pic of it trailered behind one of the coe's.I have pics of "the boss truck of america"with both paint jobs and matching carrier,if some one wants me to post them.I also have a "matchbox" bandit toy.I love these trucks.Does anyone know what became of them? KEVIN -

IMC L700 big wheels?
mistermodel replied to ZIL 111V's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Are those made of rubber?I have a tanker from the 90's reissue but the box is long gone so I don't know who produced it.I forgot about it in my first reply.I just put a uniroyal on the front end of my dodge for the heck of it,I don't realy like the look of it -too tall. -
IMC L700 big wheels?
mistermodel replied to ZIL 111V's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Those tires made me go HMMMM.I would like to put uniroyals on mine but don't have enough of them.I don't know the hight of the real thing, but the dodge tires remind me of the low profile tires used on trailers.I had some model master bottle paint in the "dodge engine red"shade, but I got to get more as I couldn't find when I was ready to paint engine and have not got more.Don't know about any spray colour that is close,Its kinda a medium dark red.I saw an autocar on another forum with the dodge spokes-looked like they belonged on it. -
