  1. Thats probably $6 for a ONE gallon jug! You can't get 5 gallons of ANYTHING for 6 bucks anymore! LOL!
  2. 15 minutes? The resin body I just stripped took 4 days! And that included taking it out and scrubbing it every 6-10 hours or so.
  3. I've been using Westley's Bleche-Wite (yes, that's spelled correctly lol) for a long time for plastic and it works great. I just used it on a resin body and it worked for that too. You can find it in auto parts stores and I would imagine WalMart/Kmart too. Like Camaroman said, just chunk it in a Rubbermaid container for awhile. Good luck.

    05 Mustang

I figured I'd post some of my junk here. This is a Revell Mustang, pretty much box stock except for the scratchbuilt body kit and wheels/tires from a (Shhhh) C6 Vette. Stripes are painted on.
  5. I've always wanted to build an 84-92 Mark VII, I've just never pursued it. I missed my chance back in the day to get the AAM kit, and now they are among the rarest things on earth. After reading the post about the TKM kit in the resin section, I guess thats out too. Now, I've decided to go ahead and start on one using the only thing available, the Revell pro-street MK VII, and bash with an 87 T-Bird. My question for the experts here.....just what all do I need to fix? I've heard over the years that the body is too short, but after some preliminary measuring with a scale ruler, it seems to be right, or very close, as does the wheelbase, at 108 inches, which, my sources say 108.5. I know the hood has to be fixed. Just what all is incorrect about the body? Thanks.
  6. If you're talking about the AAM MK VII kit, here it is: http://image02.webshots.com/2/6/97/44/121469744oCsYoS_ph.jpg Good luck finding one, though. If you do, it'll probably set you back a few hundred!
  7. Is the Westley's safe to use on resin? I have a couple of resin bodies I need to strip.
  8. I was just digging around getting aquainted here and ran across this....I'm glad I did! So...if I was going to build an 84 Lincoln MK VII, I would be better off fixing the Revell pro-street body and bashing with a T-Bird?
  9. Thanks! I'm still trying to figure out all this stuff here....pretty cool place so far!
