  1. Man, that is 100% off the scale cool! Now you got ME wanting to do a box art model! I love it!!
  2. Thanks, Bill.......It's bout time you show up here! You'll fit right in. Well, for starters, the drivers door handle is missing, as is the radiator cap thingie.....lol! Noooooo...that Austin is gonna be built stock. And about that 32, I'm waiting on the new Revell 5-window kit for that one......and looking forward to it! Oh, crud....I forgot about that Bug. And its only 2 helicopters.....or 3.

    '69 camaro

I like it too! It just has the right "look" to it!
  4. Oh, man, I'd LOVE to......but I already got SOOOOOOOOOOO much going on.....hmmmm.....
  5. Yep, I agree....he's a pretty good guy.....even if he WON'T come to our club meetings! (J/K Glenn....I know you're busy!)
  6. Harry, heed Camaromans advice......buy slightly used. Let somebody else take the depreciation butt-kickin' on it! But anyway......If I was in the market for a car, hmmm, lets see. The Mustang is WAAAAY more affordable than the Challenger, and it might not mean much to some, but Ford didn't take any of that kickback...ummm, I mean bailout money, did they? I just came through Chicago yesterday. 35 mph and endless construction is not what I consider "wide open highway"......
  7. Thanks so much for the kind words, everyone! Lee, I'm not sure where those tires are from, I THINK the rear ones are from a Monogram kit of some kind. The whitewalls were sprayed on with acrylic paint through a circle template. Thanks again, everyone. Maybe I'll try some more 60s era rods.
  8. I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but once I needed a small hole in the end of a tube frame section. The frame was 1/8" tubing, so what I did was insert a small 1/4" long piece of the next smaller size tubing....then insert a size smaller than that.....and so on, until there was a tiny little hole for a wire, perfectly in the center of the tubing. Does this help any? Does this even make any sense?
  9. This is what happens when you replace "car guys" like they USED to have (the Harley Earls, the John Deloreans, etc...) with college degrees. Is it just my own observation, or are all these college educated CEOs complete dumba**es? The myth is than when GM bought Gabrowski Motor Coach, Max Gabrowski somehow snuck it in the contract that as long as GM sold trucks, they would have to include the GMC line.....like I said, thats the myth. Is it TRUE? Hmmmmmm..... And they CAN'T get rid of Hummer....if they DID, what would the military spend $300,000 tax dollars apiece on?
  10. I'm not that much of a street rod builder, but I got this AMT 34 a few years ago in a trade. It was missing a bunch of parts, and I originally intended to pitch it all in the parts box, but I decided to give it a shot. I built it as a street rod you might see in 1965. Oh, it's still missing a few parts, but it looks ok from a few feet away. Paint is Duplicolor gold, and the pinstriping is done by hand. Thanks for lookin'!
  11. Thanks to the efforts of environmental wackos, this is the winner of the 2020 pro-stock motorcycle springnationals....
  12. Beautiful! It sure does remind me of "The Rocketeer" for some reason, though! lol!
  13. Like THIS........ BTW...this picture also proves that I DO know how to hinge doors! lol!!!! Anyway.....I think its great! The guy started the bidding at 5 bucks, so it wasn't like he set some outrageous amount on it. I think if BOTH parties are happy with the price, it was a good deal.
  14. Thats really all that matters, imho. Besides, how many people would have really known you guessed at it if you hadn't pointed it out? Sometimes, when all else fails, a little "creative license" is necessary.
  15. I've ALWAYS said it was a conspiracy! The government wants control of ALL essential businesses.
  16. They don't make a V-8 Camry here either....or anywhere. Just another reason it shouldn't be called "stock car" racing anymore. George is right, Revell(ogram) discontinued their Nascar kits, but not because of falling popularity....it was because of Nascar greed (licensing fees).
  17. UNLESS its a 60s era fuel altered.....those wheels were NEVER straight!
  18. Trust me, this just didn't happen overnight. It takes YEARS of screw-ups to reach "certified" status! Just ask my ex-wives!
  19. Well, the more rigid something is, the less chance it'll break, so no...I don't really care about working steering....I just glue everything in place. And rolling wheels is a definite no-no with me! First, they end up wobbling and look toy-like, and second, if the shelf gets tilted, off they roll!! CRASH!!!!!!!!! You wouldn't leave a REAL car parked with the transmission in neutral, would you? lol!
  20. I want to thank everyone for the great replies. I guess I'm going to attempt making hinges again......and if they don't work right, I'll just glue the doors open! lol! And Mr.O.....if anyone SHOULD be at GSL, its you! Thanks again, Y'all!
  21. When one of my two kids "painted" the younger one with permanant markers, I googled it and found that baby wipes and alcohol are the best things to remove it, although that dry eraser sounds feasable. Good luck, let us know how it goes.
  22. Hard to believe they're MODELS!
  23. Great tip! I've been putting off a 56 Chevy project for years because I couldn't figure out how to make a Diamond-Pleat interior......now I know! Thanks!
  24. I think he's on to something here. It might be even more interesting to see not a body, but the IMAGE of a body wrapped in a blanket, with blood seeping through. Oh, btw....you KNOW this is disgusting, right?
  25. Good ol' Gabriel Hi-Jackers!!! Man, those were the days! You really captured the day here, almost as good as being in a time machine! Absolutley great build!
