  1. Scott Colmer. it was called the land speed vette or something like that . I am too stupid to figure out how to insert a link, but it is in the on the workbench section I searched it by "most replies" and it was on the 3 or fourth page. hope this helps
  2. that is a nice combo. I really like the volare i had no idea they could be made to look cool.
  3. very nice I like how clean it is .
  4. most lacquers dry pretty quickly anyway so you really donteven need a dehydrater it is useful but not necessary. I use mine for warming up paint cans more than drying paint on the model and if you are using the enamel paints heat doesn't always help if it gets too hot it kinda turns into a soft gooey mess that never wants to dry . in short dont use a toaster oven.
  5. very nicely done! I look forward to seeing how it turns out!
  6. Thanks Jim that is exactly the stuff I was curious about I figure there was a few ways to skin this cat . Dave thank you as well,I mostly am curious about the golden age because those guys were so crafty. And I do like that 4 link in the corvette it is pretty decent .
  7. I have a question in regards to corvettes that were drag raced in the mid to late 60's. did they keep the independent rear suspension or was it common to switch over to a solid rear axle? I guess I just haven't seen a bunch of under carriage pictures but it seems that maybe a solid rear axles would be a logical upgrade for going straight but then maybe it was easier to work on what came from the factory. Drag experts please enlighten me .
  8. That body really lends itself well to your masterful off road treatment . Keep up the good work!
  9. however if you are impatient you could try dry brushing in conjunction with tape around the trim just to keep it neat.there are hundreds of tips all over this forum find the builders that build cars that you like and check out their on the workbench posts.
  10. I am diggin it. I always enjoy your clean and original builds.
  11. very nice work . I really like the subject matter. I think you got all the details just right
  12. I have posted this before .it was right hand drive i switched it to left hand drive, dented the passenger rear door, removed trim on drivers door and added clips, shoved a rag in the gas hole,at one point in time it did have plastic "taped" to the dented door,I also added the side windows which I wish I had put in at different heights instead of all being at the same level.
  13. how about some photos of whatever you are using it for. what density did you get?and finally before someone else asks What is renshape?
  14. Excellent work Jim.
  15. Ken what model are you building? a general rule of thumb though, the top of the dash board should not be white.
  16. I still can't figure out what round 2 added to the dukes of hazard kit .the tin isn't great we all know the kit isn't great and the poster could never be worth the extra dough. as far as collectables in tins these days I don't think they will ever acheive the value of kits that cannot be made available ever again.
  17. I wonder how the rims from the black force model would look. It's a shame more prowlers aren't built or kitbashed. that chassis fits nicely under amts 40 ford.
  18. you are off to a good start ,i look forward to seeing these progress.
  19. That is pretty cool.

  24. I don't even care for baseball that much, however it sounds like an interesting project.
  25. I feel like it has been 4 years since I first heard it was being repopped. if I had known it was going to take this long I would have shelled out the going rate for an original.hopefully this has been the last push back and we really will see it in november just in time for winter.
