  1. here are some pictures of the new revell 36 ford it looks mostly like the old kit with some extra pieces it has been awhile since I built this model but I don't remember the the stock hood louvers being open but they are now .on to the pictures..... let me know if you need more or have a question.
  2. Wow very ambitious .looks like you are off to a great start ,I can't wait to see how this one progresses and I love the overlays it already looks like the predictor.
  3. a combo of the tijuana taxi and some older bits and pieces. the rear tires are from a duesenburg the rims and front tires from the 27 ModelT the engine is from the 28 lincoln roadster.I found some pretty good pictures of the engine but I can't quite figure out where the intake and the exhuast are located exactly so my custom touches to those areas will be purely fictional but hopefully feasable. I also added front doors and the top windsheild frame. the interior will be slightly different but not much.I am attempting to keep this conversion simple by using mostly parts from the Tijuana taxi and just adding details that fit the look I am going for . thanks for looking suggestions, comments, questions and criticism welcome!
  4. I am beginning work on the interior it is coming along slowly . I was going to use some bucket seats and a console but I think the bench seat would be better for smoochin' the ladies.plus it gives me an opportunity to try some custom touches, like the diamond pattern and some tuck and roll vertically. this is the start of the seat now that I kinda know where I'm going it should start falling together a little faster. Next up some pics of a few of the parts that have found their way onto or off of or just nearby this build,it doesn't include the three or four complete kits I keep going back to for parts. thanks for looking!
  5. neat stuff can't wait to see more!
  6. Thanks for the run down .I can't tell you how much it helps seeing it done although you make it look easy I know from previous attempts with even just two colors it is not.I'm gonna give it a try.
  7. Congratulations,you did a great job!
  8. glad to see some pics finally,I think it is coming along nicely and I agree it is well done for a beater and your second model the overall effect works!

  12. Looks really cool.I look forward to seeing more of this .
  13. Great job ! I like the engine detailing .
  14. I absolutely love it!is it all done by masking ? I'm curious because I cant figure out how to add the pinstripe between the two main colors.
  15. looks pretty cool . what engine is it going to have?
  16. a couple of shots of my first attempt at the grille . it is two of the custom grilles from the amt 63 impala .I cut of the headlights and added som length to the ends.I really need to learn how to use my camera better .let me know what you think if you can see it well enough .
  17. thanks just wait until it is done!
  18. Thanks for the info on the chassis and super marauder engine,I am using some of the edsel chassis it was much closer than the starliner but still the chassis is too long in the wrong spots for this body.
  19. thanks,I was afraid it was going to look awkward too but the rescribed doorlines really went a long way to solve that problem. If I were to start this over again I probably would do more work to the roof as it stands however I think it is still in keeping with the early sixties customs a lot of them went over the top in some areas while leaving other areas completely stock.
  20. added some headlights final placement later but this is what I have for now .still working on a grille. I added the firewall, chassis pan from the edsel .I cut out the edsel gas tank and spare tire hump and replaced with starliner unit. the frame in my edsel was pretty warped so I just decided to use the original it is good enough for this project as the goals for this one is to do a 60's custom and to finish it.it appears as if the next hurdle is to get the interior fitted and rear wheel wells.after that it should be gravy adding details and pulling it all together, until I need to decide on paint design.comments and criticism accepted and again suggestions are really appreciated and utilized.
  21. Nice work ,I like the kit bashing and the end result.
  22. Nice work I think you capture the real thing very well!
