  2. Thanks for the run down .I can't tell you how much it helps seeing it done although you make it look easy I know from previous attempts with even just two colors it is not.I'm gonna give it a try.
  3. Congratulations,you did a great job!
  4. glad to see some pics finally,I think it is coming along nicely and I agree it is well done for a beater and your second model the overall effect works!

nice builds Terry I am surprised that you haven't built the police version of the '27.
  8. Looks really cool.I look forward to seeing more of this .
  9. Great job ! I like the engine detailing .
  10. I absolutely love it!is it all done by masking ? I'm curious because I cant figure out how to add the pinstripe between the two main colors.
  11. looks pretty cool . what engine is it going to have?
  12. a couple of shots of my first attempt at the grille . it is two of the custom grilles from the amt 63 impala .I cut of the headlights and added som length to the ends.I really need to learn how to use my camera better .let me know what you think if you can see it well enough .
  13. thanks just wait until it is done!
  14. Thanks for the info on the chassis and super marauder engine,I am using some of the edsel chassis it was much closer than the starliner but still the chassis is too long in the wrong spots for this body.
  15. thanks,I was afraid it was going to look awkward too but the rescribed doorlines really went a long way to solve that problem. If I were to start this over again I probably would do more work to the roof as it stands however I think it is still in keeping with the early sixties customs a lot of them went over the top in some areas while leaving other areas completely stock.
  16. added some headlights final placement later but this is what I have for now .still working on a grille. I added the firewall, chassis pan from the edsel .I cut out the edsel gas tank and spare tire hump and replaced with starliner unit. the frame in my edsel was pretty warped so I just decided to use the original it is good enough for this project as the goals for this one is to do a 60's custom and to finish it.it appears as if the next hurdle is to get the interior fitted and rear wheel wells.after that it should be gravy adding details and pulling it all together, until I need to decide on paint design.comments and criticism accepted and again suggestions are really appreciated and utilized.
  17. Nice work ,I like the kit bashing and the end result.
  18. Nice work I think you capture the real thing very well!
  19. Very nice!I like the old stuff that no one else is building.looks great keep us posted.
  20. Thanks for the comments, suggestions and photo . I will try to get some more done tonight and post bigger pics(I am very George53 like when it comes to posting pics). anybody know of a source for a 58 super maruader aircleaner/engine ?
  21. Good call, I will check that out tonight.
  22. No don't take it off the beaten path you'll wreck it. Cool build!
  23. Thanks Mike ,the starliner chassis is close but alittle too long and a little too wide I couldn't figure out where to cut it and still use the floor pan . however alot of the details for the engine compartment and chassis details will be used wherever possible.
  24. here's the latest ,I did some bodywork, that aspect is getting pretty close I just need to do some fine tuning. I also am working out the interior. door panels and bench seat from starliner, dash is from unknown year Buick Invicta. The chassis is carved from original ranchero with a front clip from the '57 ford slightly z'd I figure it sits low enough as is . thanks for the previous comments, suggestions ,and encouragement.I really think lengthening the doors and canting the B pillar really helped the proportions,I probably wouldn't have thought of it until it was too late so by all means if you notice something out of place please fel free to mention it !
  25. nobody wants to admit watching C.H.iP.s just for the crashes? And my goodness people the best hands down chase scene has got to be the Steve Mcqueen motorcycle sequence in The Great Escape.
