I don't know if I admire you or am just very confused you make this really fun for everybody !
  7. that looks pretty sweet
  8. I can't really tell you how much I like this truck .I think it is unique and well thought out I look forward to seeing more
  9. a razor saw is a smaller saw with fine teeth good for cutting all the way across the body, hood, roof etc.but if this is your first or second model you probably won't need one this time around.for starters you will likely need an exacto knife ,a sprue cutter(sometimes nail clippers will work)sand paper (automotive 400-600 wet dry)a liquid glue (tenax 7r is my preference ),and maybe spray paint .a note on spray paint and painting in general there are so many different techniques and opinions on paint and which to use it really does come down to preference and what works for you .in my opinion treehugger dave has the best technique and relatively easy to learn for a beginner.I also would caution against using the spray enamels but recommend the spray lacquers.take a look at the underglass section and find the paint jobs you like the most and then just ask the people who painted them how they did it and what they used for materials.as far as pictures of the lightning I think there are probably a few around here but you may also try google images.good luck and feel free to ask any questions no matter how trivial we like to help.good luck
  10. Once again nice work

    great job like the colors!
  12. something else to take into consideration is that there is a lot of discrepency between the models we build and the actual real life counter parts so sometimes exact scale measurements will make some items look wrong . for example a stop sign is way bigger than you think if you put one that was scaled out exactly it probably would not look in scale .in short measurements will get you close but you still need it to look right.
  13. And if all you are using to cut is that utility knife go buy a razor saw
  14. when you chop a top you want to take from the middle of the posts .and then in this instance you need to make the roof longer and wider by cutting the roof into four pieces then filling the resulting gaps with plastic strips and reinforcing the roof with sheet plastic underneath .with what you got there I recommend a custom low profile custom windshield and a ranchero type bed in the back! good luck
  15. you can also use colored acetate found with the other sheet plastic .it can also be found at craft stores .it works fine for windows without a lot of curves .maybe not you need for this build but maybe helpful later on.
  16. I like both but the jet drive is really coool!
  17. I like what you are doiing with this one how are you going to make the new windows?
  18. looks pretty cool!
  19. This turned out awsome .You did a great job pulling everything together .I like the consistency of the build from start to finish and the color looks great also but I bet it looks even better in person. The only thing I am on the fence on is the rear wheels being covered but I think you pulled that off as well .keep up the great work I look forward to seeing your other concepts come to fruition and the wip is a treasure trove of info thanks for taking on such an ambitious build and showing how you did it .
  20. what did you go with on the hood ?
  21. Nice model, good color selection .Tell us more about the tonneau cover what did you use and how did you do it .
  22. Sorry to hear about Joys camera but on the bright side now no one can call you out for not being able to post pics . Shoot that's how I welcome new guys seriously though I really look forward to seeing your models !
  23. This is really cool.I am enjoying watching the progress .
