  1. Go down to Home depot and pick up one of those Mexicans standing out side of the place, have him stand next to you with the fan in his hand till you finish your paint job. Then give him a sandwich and send him on his marry way. I went down to GRAINGER and picked up one of those industrial floor dryers for a decent price. Been using it for years and never had a problem. I think you motor or the brushes might be out my brother. See you tomorrow night my Friend.

  5. Yup. Its going to be a sad day When Mike leaves . We got it set up for him to leave on May the 6 for Washington state. Mike said he wanted to pass on the lathe and mill to me, and also gave me most if not all his box's of models. I told him no, but he insited I take them. As for the shop once it's done you are more then welcome to stop by. It's still 1 or 2 months till it's done.

  8. It's where all the magic happen's. I already have a shop at my home but it's getting a make over. when we are done with it, it should look like a lab with everything you need for modeling at your finger tip's.
  9. Looks like is going to be a crazy build, keep up the good work bro. That thing is going to be sucking in some air.
  10. Thanks Ben. The Alcoas are from a real old Revell big rig kit. I think it was the somthing California, not sure bro sorry.

  12. It will be done in a few months. And you are more then welcome to come over. No one get turned away at the Chop Shop. Umungst all the cayos of getting ready for the show this past weekend, I almost forgot to mention my little pacage got here last Wed. This is the last of what I need to get both of my main projects started. It’s on now, thanks to Bob Dudek for all his help in making all my goodies that I need in 1 of a kind aluminum pieces. They are some of the cleanest stuff I have seen. I had asked him to just make me the aluminum rotors plane, he wasn’t having it that way he went a head and made them directional by drilling 100s of little holes. As for the pullys I just sent him what I needed in plastic he sent them back in aluminum. Thanks for the iceing on cake Bob you the man. See you in NJ. Small block pullys. PLastic aluminum
  13. When I went into work I called in 4 of my workers from payroll one by one. The manager, super and 2 workers. I told each one that their job has been out sourced and they where no longer needed. So as each one left my office with that look on their face, I felt bad because I know they would tell the others on their way back to their desk. I waited an hr to see if they would call me but they did not. So I walked over to payroll and they where packing all their belongings, I took a look around and it was silent so as I turned around to walk out the door I yelled April fools. I got so much stuff thrown at me that I was bobbing and weaving. We all had a good laugh after they all knew they still had their jobs. Only one person took it to the heart and got mad. Oh well I am still the Boss.
  14. Dang.. I feel bad. How could I forget my father-in-laws B-Day. Well better late then never. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!! Suegro.
  15. Thanks Scott. But all that fine work is from Bob Dudek. He is showing me how to run my own machines on a daily basis over the phone. most of the raw metal I get fron two good friend who own their own prototype companys here in Los Angeles. They give me some real nice high grade stuff that they use.
  16. Here is one of my main projects that's on the work bench. Its a 1/16 scale 41 willys from RMR Resin. got everything open, just needs a few more mods till this baby is done.
  17. Thanks primo. You know how we do it. Almost forgot about these. got them mounted and ready to start work. I tride a few piece's to see how they work.
  18. Well just looked in my mail box today and HOT daaaam another box from Bob Dudek. One more box is on it's way for now. So now I can get started on my two big builds. Once im done with these parts they will bling like chrome. Bob you the man.
  19. All the decals jobs that I have done, I used decal thin set this way you know they aren’t going to move, then I apply a nice coat of Urethane that goes over anything no sanding or buffing needed. I have never tried the stuff you use thou. So I can't really say.
  20. What I do is add one light coat of clear to the car, and then add the decals to a nice smooth surface. If you just add the decals then clear it, anything under the decal that was flat will stay flat and not look good. A lot of guy's just add the decal after they clear it, that's the easy way out. Any mishandling of the model or cleaning it might ruin the decals later on. You need to have everything on that model protected. Because we all know decals have a tendency to dry up and flake off. But that’s just my 2 cents.
  21. I have some sheets of BMF That I hade for a few years, they stick good it's just that they fall apart when you apply them. And they look terrible with all those little cracks.
  22. Thats why I try and make all my homies and fellow club members who use can, get off the baby bottle. and start using airbrush. I got most of them to cross over and they said they don't know why they havent did it years ago. Its a whole new world. But most still use the can cause it's Convenient.
  23. It's all good bro. The only problem is I don't have to polish it. That how it shines on it's own.
  24. What I have in my work shop are 2 microwave's that do not work, they are the best thing for not letting any dust get on your paint job. I paint in my booth then transfer them to the microwave shut the door and let them dry dust free. Never had a problem since. I have one of those fancy paint booths but they let dust in no matter how hard you try to keep it out.
