I appreciate the honest, but not malicious criticism, and the graceful acknowledgment of it. Not all criticisms and responses go this well on this forum or others. Good job guys.
Thanks. I always have to cut a little more than I need and sand it down to something remotely level, which is difficult to do with small pieces in 1:25 scale.
Ted, I have the cutter from micromark and I have the same problem with it.
That is one gorgeous model. Nice detail work on the engine bay. The vent work under the windshield is exceptional. What did you do to get such a clean result on the vent?
The chassis and motor look great. Nice job masking and painting also. It looks like you got a little bleed through on the tape on the second one. But, I'm sure your touch up will fix it nicely. Did you use an acrylic to spray over the decals?
I seem to say this a lot about you, but I think this your best work. At least it's my new favorite build of yours. The chassis is awesome and the stance is perfect. Keep it up.
This build is simply amazing. Your fabrication skills are through the roof. Is there a trick to getting a straight cut with uniform thickness on the hex rod cuts? I've tried cutting hex rod with a #11 knife and I have a very difficult time getting a straight cut.
The parts and decals look incredible. You guys did some very impressive work. I'll have to get my hands on this kit. Hopefully, someone will have some Glidden decals ready by the time I get the kit.
John, your detail is always amazing and your weathering is just the right amount of griminess. You always have an incredible amount of believability in your weathering without over doing it. Outstanding work as always. I'm looking forward to your next update. I'll be next in line for a Teresi book behind the good Dr.
