  1. That vent is either a fresh air inlet or, like on mine, a windshield wiper motor access plate.
  2. That’s exactly what I did on my Ford WT9000 cab
  3. As a caster that started out in 1995, I’ve seen many of my parts being cast by others without my permission. What makes me mad is not the fact they’re making money off them but the fact that they’re passing off my work as their own! To top that off, their casting is usually horrid and if someone were to find out I mastered it, they would think my master must have been just as bad! Not copying other people’s work is a matter of integrity. Very few people have that anymore!
  4. That’s cool!
  5. Jamie should have it, Moluminum.com
  6. It’s coming back out very soon. Revell has it listed on their website.
  7. The way I see it, the longer it takes, the better I get at building and better parts become available to make the build even better.
  8. LOL, three years? Try over thirty! I built the chassis and engine on this back in the eighties and just finished it a few months back.
  9. Some have been mentioning ways to apply superglue. A sewing needle (the end with the eye) works great for precision application of super glue. The eyes hold a tiny amount of superglue and capillary action pulls it to the parts you’re gluing together.
  10. Very nice work!
  11. I’m pretty sure I used the Don Mills tread plate. The step treads are some expanded metal I got from KFS years ago, and some brass angle.
  12. Thanks guys!
  13. Hi Jack. I don’t get out much anymore. Where are they holding it now?
  14. I don’t think I’ve made a post in this section before? Anyway, I’m Ben Wicker from San Antonio, Texas. I’ve lived here since 1976. Before that it was Taylor Michigan. I build everything, in all scales with semi’s, pickups and construction equipment being my favorite. I became disabled in 2014 when my kidneys finally gave out. I had high blood pressure and never knew it, that’s what got them. I now do dialysis three times a week. I still get around just fine though. Just a bit weak on the days I do dialysis. I’ve been a mechanic for over 35 years with the last twenty as a master tech, shop foreman and manager. I’ve worked on everything except airplanes and helicopters. The big multi million dollar motor coaches are my specialty. I collect many things vehicle related. I have over a thousand kits, a very large number of Franklin and Danbury mint Models, Hotwheels, Matchbox, etc. here’s a link to my Fotki albums if you would like to see my work, collections, etc. http://public.fotki.com/lotso/
  15. Does anyone know if he is still selling decals?
  16. Hey Charles, does Christian have a website? I’d like to get that same cab/hood/ sleeper.
  17. Hey Don, sorry for the late reply, I just saw your question. Those fuel tanks were machined from aluminum to my specs by Jamie Rahmoeller. I use his aluminum tanks on all my builds. He’s a hell of a machinist!
  18. I just ordered some Petty Blue from him a few weeks ago. Never had any problems with him.
  19. I bought this as a built up and added the LEGO flames.
  20. Oh no Vince, I’m so sorry. I know he was your good friend.
  21. I put these at the end of the headers on my Bad Boy. They’re LEGO flames. They have several different types.
  22. Yeah, that’s what I was thinking watching them landing. Looked like an old science fiction movie!
  23. Was the car mounted to the outside of the rocket?
  24. I wish him well too! I just remember being in the hospital for over a week thinking how nice it would be to have some kits there to work on but never even thought to ask because it’s such a sterile environment.
