Long time no see!!! Sorry haven't been to a show in your neck of the woods lately Getting there soon, getting better, etc. I always enjoy picking out your models from contest photos, without looking at the spec sheets. I love the way you build!!!!

An introduction from Utah
Gregg replied to ChevyAsylum's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Welcome, Ray! Hope you still have that crib Indy car!!!! Seriously, most of the modelers I know have had one form of major health problem or another. That is the therapy part of this hobby, that seems to keep all of us together. Great to see you, hope to see more of your projects on the board, and don't be afraid to ask for anything you need. We all like to help each other out when we can! -
For Gregg and Jairus..Juha Airo?
Gregg replied to RowdyYates's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I haven't seen or heard from Juha since GSL a few or many years ago. I know he is super busy with his work and family. Hopefully we will see him again soon I agree, he is incredible! -
Strange, works fine for me. But then, I'm a Mac man:-) Email me and I will send you file The link opens up in a new window, but it does take a few seconds to load, or download.

I know, that was a surprise, to say the least. Kirk Bell shot it at GSL one year, then I got my sub in the mail like six months later and was blown away! I miss that car. I have the body, it got in a major wreck on Floor Lane Highway! Wife dropped it while moving, and I had to laugh, she was the one who was so upset. Poor thing her. I want to redo it, but don't have chassis anymore I, uhm, erh, I recycle my models, and the club members give me so much grief on that. Oh well!!!!!

Welcome, Rob! Don't forget to fill out your profile and especially your signature set up. That way, we can all get to know everyone by their real names, not just handles. Enjoy! And don't forget to post, post, post (Not the cereal, Jairus)

I know, that thing is crying out for a set of Model Factory Hiro photoetched and aluminum wire wheels. Maybe do mine in yellow??????

1/12 Scale Scratch Built Street Rod (Updated: 12/19/06)
Gregg replied to GTmike400's topic in WIP: Model Cars

Kind of put on back burner, or rather I FORGOT!!!! Thanks for the remind!

So, that mean you treating everyone who shows up at NNL East for Dinner? Heh, that Saturn would be a perfect chair car. I mean, it would have or could have. The way that back door opens, you could stuff a chair behind you with no problem. I was thinking about the Mazda RX8 for that reason, but don't need a chair anymore. :-) Enjoy NNL Make sure about getting that model shot. Even if you have to knock someone on the head to get it done!

JD, you need to have the images on the web somewhere, such as Fotki, aol, or other free or paid image hosting site. We don't have the ability to host images, yet. I'm working on that. you need to put the full path name of the image, such as: There is a slight glitch with the Img button to put the code in. You will have to positiont he cursor after the first bracket img code, then type in the path, then click the Img button again (or Close Tags button) to finish it off. Hope this helps

$4.26? I'll take a dozen! Seriously, if you got time, and the dime, I would love to get a set of four matched ones, that has the American Racing Five Spoke. 4.26 x 4, sure beats $10 x 4

Yes, unfortunately, all true. My surfing "career" ended at that moment in time. Haven't been back in water since, but have been thinking about it lately Dave, that is the exact shape, but was all blue, medium dark blue, white bolt Enough of this already not good for the mind hope you don't mind never mind
-
Bill, you going to be at NNL East? If so, make sure the car gets shot by our guys :-)
-
And Dave, need to do a board like this: 6'2" Blue Lightning Bolt, Jerry Lopez shaped, with shark bite out of tail, surf leash cut off. Yes, that would be mine, and the last time I was in water Wish I didn't leave it there. Have no idea where it is now Back in 1981 Hana Maui Memories!!!! Or rather nightmares :-)

They are perfect 1/8 scale. I have a review in #114 on them But, to get four of same ones, will set you back $40 But then, you have four sets of four Best thing would be to go in with some friends, share the pain
-
That's a tough one Hate to say it, but sometimes I can, uhm, erh, borrow wheels/tires from a 1/18 diecast. I know, wrong scale, but you do what you gotta, right? The Revel `34 Fords had some decent rims/tires. There's not much out there wish we could get more Aftermarket guys to do 1/16 rims.
