  1. Sorry, I don't get this one. Here you go, an old one. Two blondes walk into a bar... You think one of them would have seen it. Sorry, that was LAME!!!!!! ;-) Don't get me started on lawyer jokes
  2. How did you get her to marry you? Did you tell her she's pregnant? :-)
  3. http://www.pegasushobbies.com/ Ask for Joe, tell him Gregg sent you :-) It's a must see place to go every time I am there in So Cal
  4. Unless you're starving in the desert, then you have to start somewhere, unless you're alone, then well, that's another story.... Oh man, I'm lame today. NOW GET BACK TO BUILDING!!!! Thanks, George!
  5. May the source be with you...... Wait, wrong movie, sorry...
  6. Make sure you guys mention the ad number on the bottom of the ad, helps track what works. Thanks!!!!
  7. Sorry, hope that made everyone laugh
  8. This is lame.....
  9. This is a fantastic board! Every single point I was going to make was answered. You guys going after my job? Does that mean you want my Ferrari and house on the beach too? (yeah, I wish!) Seriously, use more than adequate protection when spraying the Green Death paint. I had to quit spraying two-part, I was getting real bad. Raise the pressure, run the hose up also after the traps, and make sure thinner is correct. Actually, I have been able to spray 95% of the paints with lacquer thinner, with great results, go figure....
  10. No ads on forum as far as banners and such I'm working on an area of the main site for ads, links, etc. The ad in the post should print up full size I'd like to get feedback on what would work best for everyone here I personally don't like banner ads, but I do feel that ads provide a good source of info, products, and of course, ad revenue, but I want to pursue this in the most reader friendly way possible. I don't want to shove ads down everyone's throats. I have philosophy that if I won't read, use, or check out an advertiser, then more likely than not, neither will our readers. I build, I love to look at ads that interest me, and I don't run ads from just anyone. I do have or have had some diecast ads in the past, and that follows the above: if I run an ad, it's because I like or use the product myself. May be kind of hoaky, but oh well, so am I, right? Now, where's my cup of coffee at.....
  11. enough or I will send you to your rooms!
  12. Check out our new advertiser, Micro-Mark.
  13. Thanks Dave and Mike! The girls at the office really do care about our readers. I hear some horror stories about how bad the mag arrives, and I've had one or two myself show up mangled.
  14. Yes, I will be there!!!!! I fly in on Saturday morning, picking up John Oszajca who I am flying in from Vegas. Hope to meet up with the San Jose boys. Drive down, have a once-in-a-lifetime experience at Monterey, hopefully get to talk to some of the legends there. See some friend's cars, driving in historic IMSA, get some reference shots for upcoming articles, and then fly back Sunday afternoon. WHAT!!! One day, 5000 miles, just to see some old cars? ###### RIGHT!!!!!!! And hopefully, my upgrades work :-) I know, I'm spoiled, but you love me, right? Actually, this will be a great weekend. I am going to try to meet up with Oscar Koveleski, yes that Oscar, from Auto World Fame, and buy him lunch on Saturday. He's got a lot of new projects going, and it's great to hear his stories. There are a lot of people that will be there. I will have my cell on with me at all times, so call if you are there, maybe we can all meet somewhere, maybe the corkscrew????? That sounds bad, I know..... Heh, I love my Merlot's, what can I say?????? Shut up, Gregg.... go to sleep..... See you all in Monterey! And then: Puerto Rico Toledo Chicago iHobby! Dman!
  15. Thanks, Mark! I appreciate it! You are going to help me finish the series on the Zen of modeling, right?
  16. Let's call this an open casting call. Calling all aspiring, and perspiring, modelers out there who want to get published. Send in your tips, tricks, articles, how-to's, features, and stories for possible publication in Model Cars. We are looking to expand the magazine, and we would like to get more articles from more of our readers out there. Send the emails to me, or call me, 808.754.1378. What, you serious? The personal cell phone number of the editor of the magazine? Heh, we all family right? I'll just yell at the dog when I stumble through the dark to answer the phone. Remember, I'm like six hours behind EST, so don't call me and wake me up at 2:00 a.m...... Wait, I'm probably still up...... I do answer every email though. Oh, shoot, I don't have a dog.......no, I didn't shoot the dog, that's another story all together.....
  17. Fantastic!!!! I order from them a lot! And Scott is a great guy to boot. Order as much as you can, seriously, saves on shipping. I use the standard shipping, I forgot which one it is, will check Get in a week or so but then, I'm closer :-) Maybe I just go pick it up in person? Seriously, you can't go wrong with HLJ

  23. I have set up a quick photo studio next to the computer table (which happens to be a door, need room for the three monitors, three printers, two scanners....). Anyway, here is the set up: Wally World flood lamps, Home Depot Daylight CFL 14w bulbs, eBay digital camera. This is the final shot, using a diffuser I picked up from photo store today.
