As I realize that I've missed 3/4 of the movie that's on because I've been contemplating the BB. I put the motor together because I liked the blower drive, looks like a double v-belt with a separate water pump drive. You don't see old style blower belts for the street very often. The cogged belt shown is the only other one that I can find here. The zoomies will fit under the BB's fenders and the different tail panel makes sense, but i can't figure out where the tonneau or the sail panels could fit and no way to make a pickup out of what I'm seeing. -
but why does Morgan Freeman have a kitten on his head

My first competitive builds would take months. Now that I build just for me and the photos that I post here, It's so much easier on the head. I can do 1 a week , maybe 1 1/2. And time is the factor. I've been on and off unemployment for the last two years and have really been burning up the unbuilt kits that I have. Constant building has been my habit since around 1965. I do have long terms, there has been a half-finished wood Spanish Galleon on my dresser for three years (everybody should try one at least once)/ But I never went through the phase when some other aspect took over my life. All of my women and real cars accepted the fact that there is going to be model stuff on the coffee table. Of course being single now just enables me

As per Pete's suggestion, I will stand up to be the Tiger Woods that we obviously need. Not that my modeling skills are the styrene equivalent of TW's golf skills, I am referring specifically to his dating habits and the SUV crashing (I've never gotten to wreck a car, I must be missing out). As for my skills both on the greens and on the bench, I think I could do better with a baseball bat but they won't let me. You guys can thank me later. And the movie deal. I'm working on a screenplay about model car builders by day who use their scale skills to fight crime in the later afternoon, mostly until the streetlights come on. Get ready, we are in for a boatload of prime positive publicity. Maybe a 1/177 scale boat.

C'mon, a little family squabble, where's the harm? Variety is the spice and all. Unless you're actually having a prob with feathered people There is no way to make everybody happy every single time. Just doing the reviews that I do can be really challenging at times. Actually the hardest ones were three Gregg had me do that had to be short, 75 words or so. It was a forehead slapfest for me figuring that out. I can't imagine what The Hawaiian and Harry go through

So many points of difference. I don't care if the half-informed think the '53 Ersatz Belchfire that fell through the ice and has been at the bottom of the pond since the summer of '68 is worth half a million. Even if it does have the octagonal combustion chamber heads. If it's not up to snuff, they will figure out its worthlessness eventually.

Yes, but sadly, it's potential was never realized after Bill France inflicted the "NASCAR Bubble Top Show Rod Ban" of '65 when the Orbitron broke several standing records in January trials at Talledega. The only BB I've ever seen looks just like this. Was the Orig ever modified? Was there another kit that used BB stuff? -
I'm not seeing where anybody is blowing MCM out of the water. I'm also embarrassed to admit that I don't know what A Fanzine feels like. I read both, I've had stuff in both and I like both but in the last few years I feel that MCM gives me a little more. Consistency issues, content issues, thickness issues, punctuality issues, I think it's more a matter of what you've found in each rag that appeals to you and we all peak and valley. I can't pretend that I have a great knowledge of magazine making but I'm pretty sure there is more to it than what I am aware of. Either way, I do not want to see SAE decline or diminish or go away or whatever. It's no fun being number one if you're the only competitor, well, not as much fun.

Looks like an alternative tail panel, a competition bucket seat, a pair of sail panels and a tonneau cover. Howscome?

I missed a couple to commercials, I think that's just the way it is. There isn't total control over how long things take. The $70,000 Falcon was pretty radical, a collection of Indy motor and suspension stuff wrapped in what may have looked like a Falcon from the right angle. $120,000 is a lot for a not pristine '63 Poncho Ambulance, so the Kennedy connection must have carried some weight. I think Scotty looked a little peaved at only $90,000 for the last Boyd car.

I've only missed 45 minutes so far this year. A little off my usual pace. I needed milk. As for the detractors, it is a business, a big business. After 40 years of studying how to maximize profit, I'm not surprised at the circus that BJ has become. Sur it involves a bit of hyperbole but I can't believe that they would be what they are if they weren't as above board as they can be. As for the prices, These are some of the cream of the crop and if Ron Pratt can pay through the nose for every desirable car on the planet than so be it. He won't live forever and then these top flight cars will be back on the market. At least he hasn't gone belly up like Ralph did. I still prefer BJ as a show especially after seeing A few Vicari Auctions, they were more akin to WWE, and the R&S people just creep me out a little (except for Genvieve)

I'd really like to see an hour put together on the ancillary stuff that goes to auction. Show me the gas pumps, the car art, the pedal cars and the signs. Surely after this many years they have some footage of those auctions. I also want the giant spinning Big boy.

I was so waiting for the Woodill Turbine car but I heard the thing start just as they went to commercial and I never heard any more about it. If you didn't catch the buzz, an engineer at McDonnel-Douglas stuck a helicopter turbine in a fiberglass two-seater that resembles the Euro sports cars of the early 60s. I want it.

Yeah, as an interviewer, Barry leaves a little to be desired, mostly shutting up, but just the sound of Matt's inane drone is really starting to grate. I'll still give Stone the trophy
