  1. the Aqua to black fade on the 90 car is really nice. That was a nice looking ride and you got it spot on. Good work.
  2. Doesn't take much effort to make a nice model out of them. The biggest shame is they changed molds to make them what they are. I love to have a 64 Ford restored to stock. That's probably never going to happen. AC just to let you know, sometime in the late 60's one of the NASCAR driver, I think it was Bill Dennis drove a 64 Galaxie in the Sportsman race at Martinville Va. Everyone else was driving Chevelles, Fairlanes, Novas. It was a big deal on the local news.
  3. Nice Camaro.
  4. Around 1970 I believe. I built a couple right after I got married. 1970 As to how they were issued I'm not sure. I built an Olds and a Fairlane back then. At least that what my 65 year old mind remembers.
  5. Early Morgan/McClure Kodak sponsored cars did have black interiors and chassies. Anything that was added to the basic chassie was left what color it came and attached. I think fuel cells are required to be red by NASCAR.
  6. Really nice job. I'm working on converting the Dukes car to a Charger 500. hope mine turns out half as nice. Again really nice. Jim
  7. I'll second that. Not only is his stuff really good Tom is a good guy and take interest in what you're building.
  8. Wheatland yellow is a GM truck paint. You might be able to find it at the local auto parts store. I've also heard one of the Tamiya yellows is a close match. One of the fellows on this board used aTestors bright yellow and it look close to me so you have a few options.
  9. If you do paint the official color is Wheatland Yellow. The kit color is pretty close. I will tell you I decided to forgo painting on the orange Revell Thunderbolt and the plastic polished up really nice, however anything painted a dark color under the plastic will show through. The inside of the Kodak car is black.
  10. I think Model Car Garage has a 66 Nova photoetched set and I'm sure it have the SS badges, if you want to try decals e-mail Keith Marks I think he makes a decal set for the 66/67. Can't remember his e-mail but if you type in Keith Marks you'll get there.
  11. Always loved the 63. Nice work on the grille and rear tail light panel. Car looks great.
  12. I had the hardtop way back in the day. As well as I can remember it had Stock car parts. Talk about pressure a rare kit and a sweeeeet build up. Nice job on the Big Ford.
  13. Keith makes some nice stuff and is real easy to deal with.
  14. That's one mean lookin Cheby.
  15. Having grown up in the 50/60's I can't tell you how many 65/66 Mustangs I've seen done this way in real life. Bubble hood big and little tires jacked to the sky. Nice work brings back some really good memorys. Again excellent work.
  16. I've been looking for that same spoiler for year and haven't been able to find one. If you do please let me know.
  17. Lots of sanding on the Johan body to make it look like a race car. Again really nice work.
  18. I can't tell you the number of Nova's I seen over the years done up like yours. You hit the late 60"s early 70's look on the nail. nice.
  19. Is that the later version of the AMT T-Bird chassie?. Any Mods? That's a really nice model and the paint, around the nose, ain't the easiest to get right. Excellent.
  20. Not sure Ford ever made a nicer looking car than the 66/67 Fairlane. Your's is beautiful. The color combo is perfect. Again really nice work.
  21. Hey Bob, is that the car I sent you the headers for? Looks really nice so far. I do believe there were three different car with three different interior colors. By the middle of the year the factory interior panels had been removed and replaced with metal side panels. I had heard somewhere that the car with the red interior may have been the car that all the testing was performed in. It either went to Ray Fox, Jrs owner, or to Rex White. Keep the pic coming. Nice job so far.
  22. Not a big lowrider fan but that's top shelf stuff there. Color combo is perfect.
  23. nice job Scott. The paint layout for that car has kept me from ever trying that car. You nailed it.
  24. Thanks for the offer on the decals. I have half a dozen different sets from different maker for the 21 63 Daytona winner. Hopefully I can mix and match and get what I want. I have an old JnJ set that has the taped over Panch name with Tiny Lund on it. If they shatter I may take you up on the decal offer. Oh The car looks great with the head and tail light covers.
  25. I've been wanting to build that car for a long time. Taping off the scallopes for the front and rear have kept me from painting the body. I even thought about using decals cut in the scalope shape and painted red to achieve the look. There is an article in both Model Cars and SA that tells how to use the new AMT 60 chassie with the interior bucket from the AMT Galaxie. Take a little effort but I figure the reslts will be worth it. If I remember correctly the tail lights have a chrome piece that fits over them in the stock application. May come in the kit. Just can't remember. Anyway your the Lund Galaxie looks really nice. Keep up the good work.
