  1. Lookin' Good!!!!!
  2. Absolutely Wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Properly painted and fitted, the MCG '70 Camaro Dash photoetch loooks great. I used it in conjuction with the '70 Camaro Trans kit from SEL, which included a resin dashboard set up fo the photoetch parts.
  4. Beautiful!!!!!!
  5. Ironically, I worked for both of the Washington DC Chevrolet Dealerships in different decades. At that time, just getting a truck for either of them was like pulling teeth. If either dealership wanted one for a customer, they could have gotten it delivered.
  6. That's what I am talkin' about!!!!!
  7. That's looking great Mark. I have built a couple of those kits, and is now in the midst of doing a '78 Camaro from an ancient MPC annual. Yeech!!! I had to re-do just about every contour on that thing, but it is getting close. I am half way tempted to take an AMT '70, and turn it into a '78, as it may be easier that what I am working with, and the detail will be much better. The Model Car Garage '70 Camaro Photoetch has the Type LT emblems in it. A friend of mine had one (73) when we were in college, and when the p.e. set was being developed, I suggested that those emblem be included, as I may do a model of his car. The LT emblems are under the dash insert on the right. I used them on a Baldwin Motion, and a Camaro SS I built years ago. I still have several of these kits to do, so if the '78 MPC doesn't work out to my satisfaction, I am going to cut it up, and fit it to an AMT '70.
  8. I have something similar going on as I write this, except with a Camaro. I am taking a Z28 kit, and turning it into a base Camaro. I am using super glue mixed with baking soda as the filler. For the fine pits, I have some Tamiya brush on putty that seems to work pretty good when used sparingly.
  9. Here's a '71 Impala that I restored from a Glue-bomb that was originally moulded in red. I'd say it came out pretty nice. I have a '71 Grand Prix, Road Runner, and a '71 Camaro in the stash to be built. I would not wish the sppof parts on anyone.
  10. That side trim works for me. Especially if you two tone it. It takes the monotany out of the sides of the vehicle to me. I may have to get one of them for myself to do a base model to bookend with my custom trimmed one..
  11. That's the first thing I did on my glue-bomb resto. Took all of 10 minutes, and made a world of difference. I like the idea of your build. Good Luck!!!!
  12. NIce cut!! I would love to see how this one turns out. I have a red 1970. I will probably do mine in Red and White.
  13. It looks great!
  14. That one is really Viscious! I would be scared to ride in it. Excellent work!!!!
  15. Stunning!
  16. Very Nice!!!!!
  17. Certainly. I have a few to choose from to use on this project.
  18. Hmmm. I may do this with the MCW resin '65 I have, since it did not come with an interior. Thanks for posting this I love it!!! I cannot wait for the Mobieus kit, as when I was a kit, a friend had one, that was saddle with a black interior, 383/4 speed with Cragars. Nice car!!!!
  19. Here is where I am with the build. I cut the hood open, and fitted the chassis , floorboard, windshield frame , and up-top from the Revell 1965 Impala SS. The Revell parts had to be "massaged" to fit under the AMT Olds. Now I have to fit the engine, and tighten up the fit of everything before I lay down the primer. I'll have some more pictures once I fit the engine and transmission. Once that is done, I'll deal with adding some detail to the interior.
  20. Rich, You know I love this one, and would love to do one up myself. Reminded me of the '60 I did a few years ago.
  21. That's pretty.
  22. I appreciate the comments. I took the route of doing a little reshaping to my standard when I blocked the car for mould lines and hard edges. I made the grille surround out of sheet plastic to fit the Model Car Garage Photoetch Grille. When I was building this car, I took a look at the two AMT '67's original 1967 annual, the '90's issue which I turned into an SS 396, the MPC '68, which I am combining with the Revell '69, and photos from various magazines and web photos, including an original '67 Camaro Brochure, several Camaro Books, and my memory of the cars as I had a couple of friends with them when I was younger. I read your comments concerning this kit, and made some of the mods you wrote about, as well as tailoring the kit to my liking. Thanks everyone for the comments. Now on to the next "victim".
