I have a soft spot for those 'birds. My sister has a '88 T-Bird sport, just like this one. I have a couple of those kits, and I paln to buils a model of hers.

I had an '85 Z28 Demo with the same powertrain (Base 5.0/5-speed). A real fun car to drive, even though the '84 Z28 demo I had with the 5.0/HO/Automatic was a real beast in comparison. Iliked those cars so much that I bought a '91 RS Convertible off of the car carrier. My car was a twin to this one. It was love at first sight, and my wife hated it, but I kept it anyway. I also built a model of it, which I still have, along with the window sticker and license plates.

I have one of these kits in my stash waiting to be built. My uncle had a '67 LTD 4 Door Hardtop. Yellow with a black vinyl roof and interior, with every option from the factory on it. My dad had a '68 Country Sedan, Black with a red Interior, with the finned wheel covers. It passed everything but the gas station. When I build mine, I may build my '68 XL GT Fastback as a bookend to it, in the same factory colors. Seeing yours brings back memories.

Anne, You are doing some of the best work I have seen in a long time on this one. Can I make a couple of suggestions from what I see between the real car, and the model? 1) Add a set of window cranks on the lower doors. 2) The Turn Signal Stalk should be Chromed, with a Black tip 3) The door pulls ahould be approximately 1/16". Not nit-picking, but a few suggestions to improve upon an absolutely stellar build.

I have one of Replicas and Miniatures Wood Steering Wheels in this one. It would be the crowning touch in your build Anne.

I picked up a couple of pieces in the last two weeks for future projects. First off is a built up JoHan 1967 Cadillac Coupe deVille It is unpainted, but glued pretty tight. The interior tub has melted the tulip panel, and the glass runners has melted grooves in the roof. It also has a ride height that is higher than my one--to-one pickup truck. Once I get it apart, I'll repair the roof and tulip panel, as well as fixing the dips in the trunk lid. It has not been sanded on, and I am quite sure I cam get it apart cleanly. I have to do my research as to the color combination for this one. I plan to do a vinyl roof, and I am going to change out the Cragars for something better suited for this car. I am also going to bring it back down to earth. I also picked an old F&F Resin 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Station Wagon. Don't let the picture fool you. This boy needs a LOT of work. I am not going to build it, as it is not straight. However, I am going to use it as a guide to do my own wagon out of plastic. It is far easier for me to make one from scratch than to fix up this one. I am going to use the grille on a '72 Heavy Chevy project, and the wheel covers on a grocery getter '72 Nova or Chevelle Malibu project in the future.

'64 Pontiac Grand Prix
Ron Hamilton replied to forthlin's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I built one years ago. I made a mistake by cuttting open the doors and the trunk. I also used the floorboards, drivetrain, and chassis from the AMT '62 Catalina. It drove me absolutely crazy. I have another unbuilt one, which I am going to do a model of a car one of my cousins had, a White w/ no Vinyl Roof, and a Saddle Interior. Good luck on yours. It looks like you are following a good path on this one. -

Modelhaus 67 Grand Prix

I have one of the hardtops (unbuilt), which is very nice and well done. The only problem I saw was the "Grand Prix" on the rear fenders are of the wrong font, so I removed them. The only reason it is not built. is that I have not decided on the color combo, and whether or not to install a vinyl roof. A fellow near my barber had one that was Plum with Parchment interior. I am leaning towards triple black, with 8-lugs and red lines. That is one beautiful car. -
Nice work!!!!!!
