  1. Fantastic!!!!!!
  2. Wonderful!!!
  3. That is one beautiful model, but I am partial to "Bullet Birds", as I drove a '62 in high school.
  4. Rich, You are the master of the flocked interior. Beautiful job!!!!!
  5. I did this conversion when the kit first came out. I looked at quite a few pictures of the real car, and made my top cuts from there. The boot came from a JoHan 1964 Cadillac. I did not make the side covers where the boot snaps on on the real car, even though if I were to build this one now, I would have incorporated that item. This is a fairly easy conversion. Take your time. This is the 1966 442 Convertible that I built, which is a wonderful kit. Here are both of them. I have yet to build the hardtop version of either one of these.
  6. Beautiful!!!!!
  7. That is pretty!!!!
  8. I knew that they would catch the 1/2 ton hubcap mistake, but if I were a betting man, a 3/4 ton, long wheelbase could be down the road. Just the right application for a resin camper shell, or a utility body. So many applications.
  9. Beautiful!!!!!
  10. It will bookend with these... They are both ready for paint. By the time the '56 comes out, they should be done.
  11. Can I incorporate some of your modifications on my next convertible?
  12. You mean something like this?????
  13. You are absolutely right John. That '59 is one of the earliest cars of my family's I remember. I built my dad's '60 Bonneville convertible twice, one on an original SMP, which was true to his car, and the Trumpeter, which I re-did the interior to the Factory pattern, except that I left the skirts and the 4-bar Lancers off, and added a set of 8-lugs on the Trumpeter, and I built my other uncle's '60 Sunliner, as when he first got it. My grandfather had a turquoise '60 Mercury Monterey 4-door hardtop, which I may do from a Mercury Park Lane 2-Door I have. I love those old 1960 cars.
  14. Your build looks good so far. I want one of those kits so bad. At one time I sold Acuras, and I remember the Night I sold a Black NSX we had in stock. It was one beautiful car. We gave the customer quite a thrill when I turned the car around in the showroom and pointed it to the door, and got out and let him drive it off of the showroom floor. He was grinning from ear-to-ear. Those were some beautiful driving cars too.
  15. John, That one is beautiful!!! I have a '59 Galaxie Hardtop that is in line for restoration. Back in the day, My uncle had a '59 Galaxie 4-door Hardtop, which was Black, with the Red/Black/White interior. I am seriously considering convertiting the two door to a 4-door, and doing that car. Unlike my father, he always left his cars the way they came from the dealer, whereas my dad and his other brother always personalized their cars, with wheel trim, akirts, and a tail-dragger stance.
  16. Thanks very much for the information!!! It will be very helpful when I build my next '69 Road Runner and GTX. Ron
  17. It's such a beautiful car, that I do not know what color to paint it.
  18. If I can make a suggestion, get a hold of an AMT '69 GTX Hardtop. The seats in that kit are shaped correctly. The JoHan buckets are too boxy, and yes, I have an original JoHan '69 Road Runner and GTX kit.
  19. Very nice. I built one similar to that from the Monogram kit.
  20. Here are my plans for the '57. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYjopSL8KBw and yes it will be a fordor, 'nuff Said.
  21. It's a 1/25 if I am not mistaken. I have one of those, and I planned to combine it with the Revell '67.
