  1. Beautiful work!!!!!
  2. Excellent workmanship!!!!
  3. A better start would be an AMT '67 Impala SS427. It will give the basic greenhouse floor interior and chassis. An AMT '69 Hurst Olds will yield a 455/Turbo 400.
  4. From one lover of the '64 Galaxie to another, Beautiful!!!!
  5. The Trumpeter '63 Nova SS Hardtop is fine. The convertible had a windshield header that is too high. I've seen it fixed by other modelers. I'm sticking by my AMT annual convertible.
  6. There are a lot of kits that I like. One I have built a lot of, or used the parts out of is the AMT '67 Chevy Impala SS427 . Whether it was built out of the box... Had a resin body exchanged to it... The Chassis, Floorboard and driveline are in these two, which started out as pristine, unbuilt kits. This AMT '67 body has been modified into a '68. I have to finish it one of these days, once I decide on the color combination, and wheels.
  7. Thanks to Alan Manley's photo, I can show what is in the Johan '63 Chrysler 300. This is the 2-4 Barrell manifold, carbs and air cleaners in the original JoHan 1963 Chrysler 300 kits, which I have built a couple of. The Johan parts are not chromed, but they are there, and can be adapted to the AMT engine. Now if they could just straighten out the body.
  8. Looking at yours is going to make me finish one of mine!!!!!
  9. I am impressed with your work on this one, Jason. Please keep it going.
  10. I have quite a few Chevy Novas. Unfortunately, I had to sell an unbuilt '62 Hardtop, and a pristine '63 Modelhaus Resin kit earlier this year. Oh well, I still have the others. I have an Boss Nova Funny Car, an AMT '63 Wagon and '65 Hardtop that needs to be restored, a couple of unbuilt AMT '66 Kits, a Bandit Resins '66 2 Door Sedan Transkit, and all of the Revell '69 Nova variations, as well as a couple of the AMT '71's to be turned into a Pontiac Ventura II, which I may just chop up one of the Revell Novas for that conversion. Funny, I built an AMT '66 when that kit first came out (about 20 years ago), and it still looks great, except that it is a little dusty. I may pull it apart when I have the time, and clean it up, and reassemble it. I may remove the Traction Bars, Cragars, and Drag Slicks, and install a set of full wheel covers and whitewalls. One of these days, I'll take a picture of it.
  11. I have a thing for Chevy Novas. I have the Trumpeter kit (hardtop) under construction, which in my opinion was the best model kit that company has done. This one will be a replica stock build, with the 6 Cylinder engine. The AMT convertible will be built as a "GM Executive" car, with "Experimental" drive train mods, as well as a reworked interior, and a different wheel/Tire Combination. The Cragar SS mags in the picture are not going to be used, as I have something else in mind, and the engine is going to be a surprise. The AMT '66 Nova is the source for the chassis under this one, and yes it fit with some modification. The interior is completely scratchbuilt in a style similar to the factory configuration, but would be leather in a one to one world. I Plan on this one to be Red, with a Red Leather interior. Whitewall tires will be mounted on the wheels I am using. At this point, I still have some cuting and fitting to do before paint.
  12. A couple of years ago, I bought an empty 1963 Nova Wagon Box, to go with an F & F Resin '63 Nova Wagon I built several years back. As luck would have it, I was able to acquire a pretty clean built-up Nova Wagon to be re-done. It was missing a few pieces, but believe it or not, I had the parts to complete a nice replica stock build, in a set of resin tail lamps, and a set of resin full wheel covers. I also had a Replicas and Miniatures Chevy 6 cylinder engine for it. It's waiting its turn to be done this year. I have to decide on a color combination for it, and I may fabricate a roof rack for it. I have to find the photos of the F & F nova I did several years ago, as it came out pretty nice. It was built as a mild hot rod with a V8 engine/4-speed and a set of big and little Halibrands with a rake. I may do a "Before and After" with this one, with the before version getting a Dr. Cranky style weathering treatment.
  13. I will alter a promo, only if it was "played with, and cannot be saved. This one was scuffed up, and had a busted "A" pillar. Besides I wanted a decent '66 Hardtop, and one was not available in kit form. I am going to modify this one too, as the windshield frame is busted. I have to scratchbuild a windshield frame, and repaint it. I like the green. I will probably add and detail the chrome trim, and detail the interior too.
  14. Nice build J.C.
  15. That one brings back memories. My granddad had a green one back in the day.
  16. That is so nice. I can only hope that mine comes out looking half as good.
  17. That thing is scary cool!!!!!
  18. If you can find an AMT '62 Chevy Bel Air, I am willing to bet you that that seat will fit. For my '66 Chevy II Post sedan Project (using one of Bandit Resin's georgeous bodies), I scratchbuilt a bench seat, which is not all that difficult. Sorry, I have no pictures, and the kit is put away where I cannot get to it right away.
