  1. Excellent build!!!!
  2. Tom, If you are going to do either a '74 Malibu Classic, or Laguna S-3, I suggest that you do the swivel bucket seat interior, using parts from the Revell 1977 Monte Carlo. The seat stitch pattern on the '73 Malibu is different from the '74 Malibu Classic, and Laguna S-3. http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Chevrolet/1974_Chevrolet/1974_Chevrolet_Chevelle_Brochure/dirindex.html
  3. Yeah Baby!!!!!! I had a beige one in high school, which I am going to build a model of, one of these days.
  4. When I built my '69 XL, I swapped in a C-6 from one of the MPC 1971 -up Cougar kits.
  5. Very Nice!!!!!
  6. Dave, Thanks for the offer. I'm quite sure that those T-Top panels are in my basement somewhere. I found my original '78's hood and air cleaner with the '82. I have a few unbuilt large scale madels in my collection, as well as the ones I did back in the day. I have an '82 Z28 that may be resurrected as the pace car. I originally built it as a Black car with silver ground effects. I have not seen it in about 15 years. I did take a look at my Turbo Trans AM, and I hope to save the paint on it, as I like the color (Dark Green Metallic w/Gold Graphics and a Beige Hobnail Interior), and I do not want to lose the graphics. I just need the space to display them. I really enjoyed building the 1/16 scale, 1/12 scale and the 1/8 scale models. I have a Harley Electra Glide Ultra under construction. I just have to figure out how to paint the wheels properly, and add a set of whitewall tires. I'm going to painit it either Black, Dark Green Pearl, or Burgundy Pearl, with Gold graphics. Can you imagine what the cost of an 1/8 scale kit would be if the manufacturer put some real detail in them? The old Monogram kits were nice, but had some toy-like details. I really liked the '65 Corvette, as I got one for xmas in 1966. I have one which needs re-building, which I built when I was in college in the '70's. I would like to get a set of American 5-spokes for it, and clean up the Pactra Candy Red paint on it. Your builds are fantastic, and I would love to see what you do with the Interior on this one.
  7. Dave, I like where you are going on this project. I remember that color combination. One of the techs at the dealership I worked at had a 2 tone red one that was stunning. I sold a few "shark" Corvettes back in the day when they were new. I built a couple of the 1/8 scale Vettes back in the day. As a matter of fact, I found an old built-up of a '82 Collectors Edition in my basement, which was surprisingly complete, except that I cannot find the T-Top panels right now, and it's a bit dusty. I painted it a non factory color combination, that I actually like, and I may restore it, even though I will strip the exterior paint, and repaint it in a different color, and lose the gold accents I put on it. One of my old bosses gave me a started '78 kit, that will give me the parts I need in the event I want to backdate it to an '80 or '81. I know you will do this one justice, as you have done the others. Ron
  8. You are too much. Your workmanship is among the best I have seen anywhere.
  9. I just gave this one a bath, as it has been on the shelf about 15 years, minding its business.
  10. I built this one about 20 years ago. I found the box it was in yesterday, and found the parts to get it back on its wheels. I rubbed it out, and touched up the "chrome". It even has a dent on the trunk.
  11. Hey Jared, Do you want to see the car when it first left the showroom??? RH
  12. I am jealous, as I have been trying to get one of those for the longest time. I was able to get a decent built up a few months ago at our NNL. It is mostly there, except that it has 1975 Caprice wheelcovers, and the chrome is a little weak. I should be able to remove the paint from it without much of a hassle. Like I wrote, yours is beautiful, and too nice for what I am going to do to this one. My Mom bought one of these on Memorial Day, 1974. I believe that I can do this one out of the Caprice. It's in line withthe other projects. I'll have to draw up the plans, and gather the supplies I need to do the conversion. I can't wait to see what you do with the '74 Caprice.
  13. Have you ever had an urge to do one of these? I did, and thanks to Howard Weinstein's master and Missing Link Resin's Casting, I was able to do this... Missing Link also supplied the '64 Galaxie full wheel covers (not included in the resin Transkit). I love '64 Galaxies.
  14. I finished the Galaxie yesterday. I added a set of '64 Galaxie full wheelcovers from Kevin at Missing link. They do nice stuff.
  15. Very Nice!!!!!
  16. Excellent!!
  17. That's looking good so far. I have an old built-up '69 I need to get back to. It's missing the rear seat, and I cannot find one anywhere, so I will have to make my own out of sheet plastic. I have not decided on the direction of the build yet, as I may make it a base car like yours. I have a 6-banger, steelies, and doggies f or such a build, and since the seats are missing, a set of the standard front and rear bench seats should not be too hard to cobble up. I'm really enjoying this one.
  18. If your friend isn't happy with it, bring him to me. I'll wake him up. That is beautiful Cruz!!!!!
  19. That, my friend, is a genuine Palmer 1970 Dodge Charger R/T.
