  1. Happy Birthday Bill, and what did you get??????
  2. Thank you Mobius and Dave "Model King" Burkett for having the foresight to bring these gems to us. As someone who has bought quite a few of the Model King kits in the past, I feel that Dave's pricing is very fair for the risk and effort put forth by him. I will have to buy at least one two of each. Go get 'em!!!!!!
  3. I am working on one. Here is where I am with it. And here is where I want to end up.
  4. Ooooooooohhhhhhhh!!!!!!
  5. I have both the '58 Sedan Delivery (built as a street machine with Impala parts) and the '59 Biscayne 2 door sedan (not built, and not for sale), and I can say that Art's mods are right on.
  6. Lookin' good. Be very carefu l when you apply the letters on the hood. I 've found it easier to do them from the middle out. If you have some "Ghosting" of the original letters, that would help in the letter placement. I have several of the kits, as it is one of my favorite cars, and the first car I owned was a '65 Malibu. The MCG Photoetch kit is great!!! I used it on this one. I would like to do a hardtop with a vinyl roof to bookend with this one. I'll probably pull the 'vette wheels for the factory wheel covers when I do it.
  7. But they are sooo cooool, because they have that "look". I have a pretty nice "brand X" resin piece of one of those. I've cleaned it up, and I plan to build it soon.
  8. I have all of the parts to it, and I am willing to bet that I can find the T-Top Panels. At the present time, I am thinning my collection, which I plan to sell off about 1800 kits, so that I have the room to properly display my built models. I have been getting some practice in a restoration of an "old" model, by tackling a 20+ year old built-up of mine, a 1/16 scale 1963 Corvette Stingray. I have a few things to do to it before I photograph it.
  9. Very nice work Tommy!!!!
  10. Good Luck on the build. The big problem with this kit is that the interior is an aftermarket rolled and pleated job. When I built mine, I scratchbuilt a replica stock interior for mine. My dad had a '60 Bonneville convertible, just like my signature car, except that I added a set of 8-lug wheels from the Modelhaus, which are better than the ones in the kit.
  11. David, that is beautiful!!!! I was rooting through the basement the other week, and I came across my old built-up '82, which I did some "period" customization to it. It looks like I have all of the parts to it so far, except the T-Top panels, even though I have not gotten to the box it came in. Since I do not have another set of "Collector Series" Decals, I may have to do a "Standard" '82 Corvette. I have a set of the Aluminum Wheels from a derelict '78 built-up attempt. I also looked at my '78, and I may scuff the paint a little, and add a few coats of Black, and polish it out.
  12. As one who grew up with Dad's '72 and '74, you are very close with that '75/'76. Personally, I would work a little on the grille, and "A" pillars. Hit me off the board for an exact analysis. I am very familiar with the car, and yes I want one when it goes to casting.
  13. You know where I stand, Bill.
  14. That's the way that kit should look. Beautiful!!!!
  15. I just found my '75 Gremlin yesterday. I have to compare it with the "new" '76 kit.
  16. Chuck, your build is exquisite. My Dad had a White on Red '66 Sedan, which I am going to do a model of. I love those old Lincolns too. I have all of them, except for the '68 Sedan, and the '64 Convertible, which I sold off. I did build a couple though. Let's cruise, Chuck.1967 1961
  17. The contour of the windshield is a little too rounded, otherwise this casting is right on the money. I have a '70 300, which I will fix that upper windshield when I build it. This is the direction I want to take my build. I cannot wait to see the direction of the gasser, though, as it looks to be coming together nicely.
  18. I buy and sell a lot on Ebay. To me, that looks like a case of misrepresentation at the least, judging from the photographs. A body ruined that bad should have been photographed and disclosed. I would seek a return and a refund, and use my time on something more worthy.
  19. I am really enjoyng this one. The attention to detail is fantastic, and I have always been a fan of Wally Booth.
  20. You did a wonderful job on this one. I agree with all of your comments concerning the AmT '67 Camaro tooling. I built one years ago, and modified the daylights out of it. Now, I have a couple of the original AMT '67 Camaros to work over, one a pace car, and the second, who knows?
  21. That's a beautiful Model, Art.
  22. Here's mine!
