  1. Dave, I like where you are going on this project. I remember that color combination. One of the techs at the dealership I worked at had a 2 tone red one that was stunning. I sold a few "shark" Corvettes back in the day when they were new. I built a couple of the 1/8 scale Vettes back in the day. As a matter of fact, I found an old built-up of a '82 Collectors Edition in my basement, which was surprisingly complete, except that I cannot find the T-Top panels right now, and it's a bit dusty. I painted it a non factory color combination, that I actually like, and I may restore it, even though I will strip the exterior paint, and repaint it in a different color, and lose the gold accents I put on it. One of my old bosses gave me a started '78 kit, that will give me the parts I need in the event I want to backdate it to an '80 or '81. I know you will do this one justice, as you have done the others. Ron
  2. You are too much. Your workmanship is among the best I have seen anywhere.
  3. I just gave this one a bath, as it has been on the shelf about 15 years, minding its business.
  4. I built this one about 20 years ago. I found the box it was in yesterday, and found the parts to get it back on its wheels. I rubbed it out, and touched up the "chrome". It even has a dent on the trunk.
  5. Hey Jared, Do you want to see the car when it first left the showroom??? RH
  6. I am jealous, as I have been trying to get one of those for the longest time. I was able to get a decent built up a few months ago at our NNL. It is mostly there, except that it has 1975 Caprice wheelcovers, and the chrome is a little weak. I should be able to remove the paint from it without much of a hassle. Like I wrote, yours is beautiful, and too nice for what I am going to do to this one. My Mom bought one of these on Memorial Day, 1974. I believe that I can do this one out of the Caprice. It's in line withthe other projects. I'll have to draw up the plans, and gather the supplies I need to do the conversion. I can't wait to see what you do with the '74 Caprice.
  7. Have you ever had an urge to do one of these? I did, and thanks to Howard Weinstein's master and Missing Link Resin's Casting, I was able to do this... Missing Link also supplied the '64 Galaxie full wheel covers (not included in the resin Transkit). I love '64 Galaxies.
  8. I finished the Galaxie yesterday. I added a set of '64 Galaxie full wheelcovers from Kevin at Missing link. They do nice stuff.
  9. Very Nice!!!!!
  10. Excellent!!
  11. That's looking good so far. I have an old built-up '69 I need to get back to. It's missing the rear seat, and I cannot find one anywhere, so I will have to make my own out of sheet plastic. I have not decided on the direction of the build yet, as I may make it a base car like yours. I have a 6-banger, steelies, and doggies f or such a build, and since the seats are missing, a set of the standard front and rear bench seats should not be too hard to cobble up. I'm really enjoying this one.
  12. If your friend isn't happy with it, bring him to me. I'll wake him up. That is beautiful Cruz!!!!!
  13. That, my friend, is a genuine Palmer 1970 Dodge Charger R/T.
  14. Took you long enough to get back, Bill. I have a Revell '60 Impala that I am having trouble with Revell getting a replacement body and glass for, as it was crushed when I opened the box. I do not feel like begging to them for the replacement parts, so.... Here is what I would am going to do with that scrap 1960 Revell Impala. No, you are not seeing things. This is a genuine 1960 "California" El Camino, in other words, a factory built '60 El Camino, with Impala Grade Trim. I was going to do one of these anyway, but when I saw the real deal, I decided to do it. I am leaning towards Roman Red and Ermine White, or Suntan Copper and Ermine White.
  15. I made the boot, and modified the deck lid and tulip panel.
  16. Beautiful!!!
  17. Tom, Your builds are all fantastic. Your attention to detail and execution is second to none. Tom, Your builds are all fantastic. Your attention to detail and execution is second to none.

    62 Impala

    Beautiful execution.
  19. The Blue used on the Mecom Cars was 1960 Cadillac Pellham Blue. Tru Match made the exact paint years ago when Accurate Miniatures first released the kit. Model car world should be able to provide the paint also. I started on one years ago, using the Model Car Garage detailing set. I have the chassis done, but have not gotten too much further. I also have one of HRM's roadster transkits, which is absolutely beautiful.
  20. Beautiful!!!!
