I like the idea. I'm a HUGE Chip Foose/Overhaulin fan. If we were to do a junk to jewel CBP (rebuild an old built) Wrecks to Riches comes to mind. Barry White does some awesome work too.

Got these from our very own Ryan Silva on Ebay. If you haven't seen them yet just do a search for "Alcoa". At $7.50 a set (shipped) you can't go wrong. The pics actually do these rims no justice.

My wife neither enjoys or despises my hobby. Although, whenever I hit the paint rack at Meijer or Auto Zone she says "ooh, that's a nice color, you should get that". Whenever I find something online she says "go ahead and get it".

I just drill out the wheel hub a little, but I like Jim's idea (although I would use brass rod because its stronger). If you decide to drill, make sure it's straight and you don't go through the wheel face.

You could use regular ol chrome hubcaps and get some chrome bullet caps from hoppin hydros.

Its an All American Models peice. Got it on Ebay. Its very nicely done. And yes, its a stretched chassis from the longbed kit. The bed is from the snap street machine, the guy just threw it in.

Id actually like to see a Freightliner Cascadia. My step-dad drove one of those for Werner, Schneider and his current employer. Nice trucks and I think they'd make great modeling subjects (although I'm a Volvo and Pete fan myself).

that's what, $600 or so worth of plastic? I don't really like the look of that truck, but what I've seen of it I actually wouldn't mind gettin one. I really want the Italeri Volvo VN 780 and Pete 378 Long Hauler though.

Actually the 19 inch pegasus tires can be bought seperate from ScaleDreams.com. Email Rick through his site and ask him which of the tires might fit.

Yeah, definatly small. It was fine when I was 16, but a reg. cab mini now would be like a coffin. Lol My ext cab S-10 is perfect though. Just enough leg room.

AMT 93 Splash updated to a 95 to replicate my first truck. Since mine had a split bench seat and the kit came with buckets I used the seat from the S-10 Xtreme.

Thanks Harry. Since the first time I shot some Duplicolor I swore off all other paint. As for the grille, I've been meaning to give it a wash just haven't done it yet.

That is the worst replica of Eleanor I have ever seen. Tires are out of scale and lacks detail. Now if Franklin Mint or Danbury Mint ever produced one i'd buy it.

Thanks guys. Eelco, I'll build ANYTHING, but only if an idea jumps in my head that I can't shake. Lol This was originally gonna be built box stock in the factory Bronze color to replicate my dad's first car, but from the minute it showed up at my door I pictured more out of it. I really like this kit, its a clean, solid mold and went together well. I'd like to get a few more of them.

Lowered front on Aoshima wheels, Duplicolor Gunmetal Metallic paint.

I've been working on this but I'm stuck as to how to raise the front and add the differential. Also if anyone knows where I can find a differential for the front as well as a transfer case it would be appreciated. Should I scrap the I beam front suspension and builf leaf springs?

Wow, haven't posted here in a while. Don't get much building time cuz work keeps me pretty busy (yet I still struggle to keep the bills paid, go figure). Needless to say even paint is an unaffordable luxery at the moment. I did however get the nerve to mess with some resin. This is a Perry's conversion. Got the trim shaved, roll pan smoothed out and in primer. This is a canvas for what my 1:1 will eventually look like, so I'm taking my time on it so its perfect.

I got it. Took about a week but the Purple Power worked. Thanks for all the tips fellas.
