  1. I like loud music as much as the next guy, but as long as I can hear it inside my car, why does it need to be heard OUTSIDE of it. As far as enforcing laws, I got pulled over Friday morning for my exhaust. It's a Borla system, it's supposed to have a rumble, and then he proceeds to tell me the tint on my doors is illegal. Why not worry about the people out there REALLY doing something wrong and not me who goes to work every day to take care of my family, not out breaking the law (anymore).
  2. What REALLY irritates me is the parking lot at ANY store (Walmart especially). People sit in the aisle waiting for a parking space just so they can be a few feet closer to the door. And it's not the older people, I'm talkin about people MY age or younger. Seriously, you're afraid to walk? Sometimes I'll park WAY out back by the road (1/4 mile easy) just so I don't have to deal with those idiots. I'm not afraid of some exercise, snow or rain.
  3. Finished up the interior, with outlets and a breaker box.
  4. From what I've heard on other forums.... $15-$16. Meijer is around the same, picked up the 66 Impala for $14.99 there.
  5. I haven't had a chance to check out my WalMart, but I'm pretty sure it's just for the holidays.
  6. One of my Holy Grails. Not sealed, but complete, unstarted and mint. Got it for a STEAL too.
  7. And people wonder why my fwd Grand Am handles better than their big a$$ 4x4...................... it has nothin to do with the car, it's all about the driver.
  8. Happy birthday to a good guy. Hope it's a good one, Ed.
  9. Born an raised in Michigan Doc. I'm used to it. Now if everyone else could remember how to drive the first week there's snow I'd be a happy camper.
  10. Had to dig out this morning.
  11. The funny part is I actually knew exactly what was gonna happen within the first few seconds.
  12. I was going with the option that didn't include rechroming or alclad.
  13. The only option I can think of is find a replacement bumper, without the booty kit.
  14. That's why I don't really keep friends (no choice to have the family though). I have many "friends" screw me over in the past I find it's easier to just keep to myself.
  15. The reason I asked was because we have around 6 companies around here, 2 of which have a very large fleet, and every single truck has a sling. I knew the reason for the wheel lift was because of the newer cars and their plastic bumpers. Since the wheel lift can be used on all types of passenger cars and trucks I haven't seen a sling used and wondered if they had other uses for them, or if it was just an icon thing that was always related to wreckers?
  16. A little off topic (but still same subject). Since the introduction of the wheel lift, is the sling still used, or is it merely for decoration purposes now? Great link btw, think I'm gonna build me a modern wrecker now.
  17. Was hopin I woulda made some decent money tonight, I was gonna order a bunch of stuff............. didn't happen.
  18. Discounts on aftermarket at scaledreams.
  19. Very good point. I hope the VN 780 is reissued soon, would definatly love to get my hands on one without having to get a bank loan. LOL
  20. If made by Moebius, yes. I said the VN 780 was pricey only because it's been discontinued and the cheapest I've seen them go for is around $100. The price on the Lonestar is 1/2 that.
  21. I know about the Italeri kit, but it can get VERY pricey. And that Cascadia is EXACTLY what I'm looking for (Schneider and all). That's the truck my step-dad drove when he worked for them and Werner. Pretty sure that's what he's driving now with his current company, not positive though as it's been a year since I seen the truck.
  22. I second that. SO many different things you can do with a Prevost.
  23. I love the Pete 378. If I ever have the extra $100 I'm gonna grab one. As for the VN 780, I just like the looks of it, if Moebius were to issue a full detail one I'd be a happy camper. Didn't like the look of the Lonestar when I first seen it, but it has grown on me, and will definatly be getting one.
  24. Sorry, still prefer the VN 780. LOL A Freightshaker Cascadia or Columbia would be nice too though.
