  1. Looks good Brian, but I think you're right about the seats, I think the inserts were white. Looks great either way though.
  2. Insurance companies aroundhere allow you to choose your own policy. At one point I had $150,000 replacement coverage on a SMALL 1958 mobile home. That covered replacement cost for EVRYTHING inside plus have close to $75,000 left over.
  3. The Volvo is gonna be a hard one to get my hands on since it's discontinued. I plan on getting the Italeri Pete 378 Long Hauler too for a replica build.
  4. I keep tellin ya I'll take the Volvo off your hands. One less ya gotta worry about.
  5. OK, I FINALLY got started on mine. Body is in primer as I type this.
  6. GM actually considers the 98+ 3rd gen., ONLY because of the front end styling change and interior change. As far as the interior, I don't plan on doing the dash right away. I only plan on seats and doors. I have to do the whole door because the inside door handles from the 98+ panels won't mate with the 94-97 doors, plus I plan to upgrade to power windows and locks. My truck is wired for them but it's all manual right now. When I start tearing it apart to bag it is when I'll swap the dash, IF I don't do a complete cab swap.
  7. Looks real good.
  8. We have 2 Goodwill stores and 2 St. Vincent De Paul stores, and none of them get any kind of kits, EVER.
  9. Current issues or any??? OOP: Each issue of the Aoshima Hilux (6 versions) Tamiya Toyota Hiace quick delivery van AMT S-10 AMT 454SS pickup 88-89 AMT Chevy 1500 pickups/snap kits as well AMT Snap Chevy Dooley Johan Heavenly Hearse Johan 64 Cadillac De Ville convertible Current: Revell 62 Impala Revell 66 Impala Revell F-250 Revell GMC Syclone Revell 72 Cutlass Italeri Peterbilt 378 Long Hauler Italeri Volvo VN 780 (although I do believe this is OOP)
  10. I've got 2 of the Xtreme kits and 2 of the 94 S-10 kits and I'm ALWAYS searching for more. I'm a truck guy all the way. I've wanted an S-10 since I got my licence in 96 and when I came up on this deal I couldn't pass it up. The plans for my resin X cab are to build it the way my 1:1 will eventually look and then pick up another one for a build of how it sits now, rust and all. I never really like the 1st gen. S-10, but have always loved the 2nd (and 3rd gen.). What I want most is to swap out the cab for a 3rd gen. with the 3rd door.
  11. I peeled a little away with my fingernail, then took a brillo pad to it and scuffed it. We'll see how it looks tomorrow.
  12. It's been in the purple pond for over 24 hours and it hasn't budged, so I figured it wouldn't work. Any other paint I'vehad to strip is ready to scrub within a few hours. Guess I'll give it a couple more days.
  13. I recently tried using Duplicolor paint, what can I use to strip it??
  14. Some days she can't do anything at all around the house (and we have a 3 yr old). She manages for the most part. Yeah, I got a great deal on it. He wanted $1000, but after I took it for a drive and found a few MINOR issues I asked him what the lowest was he'd take, he stuck his own foot in his mouth and said $850. As it sits it's worth $2350.
  15. Here's my small stash. The 2 tool boxes to the left hold my paint and aftermarket parts. I have a few other projects on my bench without boxes.
  16. Even when the 4.3 goes, I'll just rebuild it or buy a new one,a V8 just doesn't make sense to me in a mini. I only paid $850 for it, put about $100 into it a few days later for a new brake line from front to rear, pads, rotors and calipers. Most recently a battery and water pump. Otherwise I'd drive this truck across the country with no worries. My wife was hit by a drunk driver back in 01 (she was on foot) and fractured her L7-L9 vertebrae. Doctors say she can never work again but the government is still being stupid.
  17. Wish I had trift stores around here that had the kinda stuff.
  18. My wife is currently fighting ssi as well, about 3 years for her. She said if she gets it she's gonna spoil me (my truck) and give me enough money to supply my addiction (the hobby). I'm planning 18 or 20 KMC Relic or Khaos (both discontinued, but I know people) or Eagle Alloy. I'm gonna stick with the 4.3, I've never seen a point in dropping a V8 in a mini. You'd never guess what I paid for it in November of 09 with 140,000 miles on it running strong.
  19. I'll trade you my stocks for your euro lights. I plan on getting clear corners and bumper lights as well. Billet grille, roll pan, shave the trim, ram air hood. And i plan on upgrading to the 98+ interior. It'll get bagged eventually, but for now it'll just get dropped 3-4. Probably this summer. Mine has the 4.3 Z model (carburated).
  20. http://www.perrysresin.com/catalog.htm It's $35 + shipping. Email him first as he's been in the process of moving his equipment to his store.
  21. Definatly model. That's my final answer.
  22. Perry's resin makes an X Cab. With a little work you could make the 98+ front end, or when it's done, a buddy on another forum is mastering one and it will be casted.
  23. Happened to me as well.
  24. Hey look, there's no windows in it. Onto the question at hand, possibly diecast, not sure if it was ever made in plastic.
