  1. Ed, I would definatly take you up on that, but the main problem is..........I can't scratchbuild to save my life, let alone do I have a place even remotely close to me to buy the supplies. I don't even have a place nearby to buy decent kits.
  2. Plan on buildin a replica of your 1:1?
  3. Can't wait. And Ed has been around the block a time or 2 with wreckers, if he says somethin's no good then it's no good.
  4. Sweet, what are the chances of a brush guard for the AMT 1500/3500 and the Revell Silverado?
  5. Nick, I would DEFINATLY be interested in a Century 412 and a Rollback.
  6. I been wanting one for a while, and at $28 I'm gonna get at least 2.
  7. SWEET, for $28 I'll definatly order a couple.
  8. There was just one on Ebay a few days ago, the complete trans kit. Starting bid of $40, didn't sell, been waiting for him to relist it.
  9. Anyone from the Petosky, Michigan area know of any hobby shops around there? I'm going to be in Petosky tomorrow and wanted to visit a few shops if there are any in the area.
  10. I've heard "STUFF" about JB Hunt too. As far as available trucks through Werner, they have a yard full of BRAND NEW trucks in PA, they just don't want to put anyone in them. They would rather let them rot than put them on the road.
  11. IMO, Werner is one of the WORST companies to drive for. My step dad was driving for them up until last week when he was fired for an accident that wasn't his fault. Well, actually they made him take a road test again, and supposedly he failed that because he inadvertantly shifted on some railroad tracks. That was the reason he was fired. But yes, their priorities are not their drivers. However, as far as trucks go, he had a 2008 Freightliner Cascadia with only 50,000 miles on it (after having NUMEROUS problems with his 12 year old Pete). Man that Freightliner was a NICE truck. He is waiting on a call from Roehl about a job. They're offering him a dedicated run and home EVERY weekend where with Werner he was running all 48 states and was home every 6-8 weeks if he was lucky, AFTER they told him he'd be home every 4 weeks.
  12. Try mixing a little thinner with the paint. It should thin it enough to make it fairly transparent.
  13. All I do is paint the INSIDE of the window black. Works good if you don't want to be able to see through the window. Here are a couple of examples:
  14. I was just about to post the same thing. He was a gifted actor and will be missed. R.I.P.
  15. We all made it out just fine, still picking up the peices from that day though, probably will be for quite a while. This place IS great, isn't it? It's easy to get addicted and there are definatly some GREAT people here. And it doesn't matter if you've only built 1 or 100, and no matter what time has passed since you've picked up a tube of glue and some plastic, in my humble opinion, once a builder, ALWAYS a builder.
  16. I don't want to sound stupid here Lyn, but was your dad a member on here? If so, who was he? And if your auctions are the ones I'm thinking of, I've been watching them for a while (too bad I can't afford to buy any of them at this time) After losing all my kits in a fire a couple weeks ago I've been looking to get some kits on the cheap, and your auctions always seem to get higher than I can afford to pay right now.
  17. I was looking at the EXACT same one on ebay........................ if memory serves you picked it up dirt cheap. Great job with it. (what are you doing with the rims and chassis that you took off it?)
  18. I found that acme site a few months ago, I HAD about 150-200 plates saved on my computer waiting to be printed. Good thing I have all my files saved on a flash drive, now I just have to find it, it's in my car somewhere.
  19. Looks good Ed, I like the roll up door, very inventive.
  20. My list of wants (but will never get produced) 98-04 Dodge Intrepid (so I could do a replica of my 2002 1:1) 97-03 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Sedan and Coupe 98-04 Pontiac Grand Am GT Sedan and Coupe 99-03 Ford Crew Cab Dually 06-Current Ford Explorer Limited of course an 87 Cutlass Supreme 78-79 Ford Thunderbird 94 Chevy Cavalier Z-24 Coupe or Vert (would make a good tuner project) I'm sure there's more but I can't think of any right now. Most of these are things I'm sure no one else would have thought of, or probably wouldn't have interest in.
  21. You can NEVER have TOO MANY kits.
  22. I figured at some point someone was gonna ask about one of them. Sorry Clay, it's already in the works.
