  8. I used CSC, I let it soak for 2 or 3 days. Mine was brush painted enamel with no primer so it came off pretty easily. Please be VERY CAREFUL, If its like mine the plastic is really brittle. Hope this helps. Ed

    My sons models

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. Brendan was very excited by all of the nice comments by all of you. Right now hes working on tha AMT 66 Fairlaine GT(With a little help from me). But after all the inspiration from you guys, He's checking my stash to see what he wants to build next. I guess I need to keep him away from my Holy Grails.haha!! Thanks again, Ed
  10. I dont really care much about the "value" of the model, I just wanted to see if I could do it. I've never seen the Revell model of this before, And its a subject that I like, But mostly I'm doing it because I like to challenge myself. If it didnt work out I would have stripped it for parts and saved the box and the instructions with my other old boxes. I actually got this and another Revell flat box from the 62 Imperial with both instruction sheets for $10 plus shipping so either way it was a good deal. Ed

    Ford F-1

Nice looking truck, Love the tu-tone. Ed
  12. I'm a big Caddy fan too. I've owned several 1:1s. Nice collection Evilone. The only Caddy models I have are A Johan 64 convertible, 2 Revell 59 convertibles, and my Pro Street Ghostbusters 59. I'd like to find a Johan Hearse or Ambulance. Keep up the good work!!! Ed
  13. I've been using Paypal ever since I started using E-Bay and I've never had a problem. I've never sold on E-Bay and I dont buy a lot,(about 15 or 20 items per year) So maybe I've just been lucky. I really like the convenience. Usually if the seller doesn't accept paypal, I wont even bid on the item, Unless its something that I really want. But all of my paypal experiences have been good. Ed
  14. Awesome job Ron. The mud on the cars looks perfect. Very realistic. Ed
  15. Ya got me again Harry. I guess I'm not real good at this, Or maybe I should put my glasses on when I look. Oh well, I still enjoy guessing every week!!! Keep up the good work Harry, Ed

    father son dio

Great job Nathan. Looks like you have a good eye for details. I sure hope you and dad keep up the good work. Its fun to share a hobby with family. Me and both of my sons like to build models and I hope Willys son(My Grandson) will get into it too. Hes only going to be three next month but hopefully in the next couple of years....... Ed
  19. I bought this on E-Bay back in January. I knew by the description that it was not in great shape, But by the time it arrived at my door it was in pieces. Well, the box is probably worth what I paid for it, So I decided to challenge myself and see if I could make a presentable shelf model out of it. I still got a long way to go but I think its turning out ok. The one thing that I'm not sure about is the windshield, I may have to try to make one and I've never done that before so any advice would be helpful. thanks for looking, Ed Heres how it is now.

He started building snap togethers a couple years ago, and he recently started on his first glue kit. These are his favorite snap kits and he's really proud of them. thanks for looking, Ed PS, His name is Brendan and comments are welcome. Thanks again, Ed
