  1. Glad to see you stuck with it Billy, It turned out great in spite of all the problems you had. Nice job. I really like it!!! Ed
  2. This is the Polar Lights "snap" kit. I filled all the holes and painted it Tamiya clear orange acrylic over silver. This was the First time that I painted a model with my airbrush. Ive opened the hood and added the 409 from the AMT 64 Impala kit.I know the blower looks too small but this is a big car. The firewall and radiator support are from my parts box, As are the wheels and tires and other odds and ends.(Gotta love the parts box!!) I also used a prewired distributor, Flocking, And lots of BMF. It was a fun build and I think it turned out OK. Comments always welcome. Thanks for looking. Ed
  3. I would say before the first hot laps, Its not even muddy yet. Ours never looked this good after it had been ran. Ive seen a lot of these meet their demise at the local dirt tracks over the years. Nice build Slim, great looking model. Ed
  4. Sweet lookin streetrod Outlaw, But your garage is waaaay too clean. HA. HA! Im sure your replica will look just as nice. Keep up the good work and keep the progress pics coming. Ed
  5. Just thought Id show some pics of my 62SS now that I figured out photobucket. This is the day I got it about 14 years ago. Its ugly, but not a lot of rust. This is in the late 90s before I got serious about restoring it. This is when I first put it back on the road after about 6 years in my garage. Last year at a car show with my buddy and his 68 Javelin. Thanks for looking. Ed

  13. I never throw model boxes away. A few years ago, I was lucky enough to buy some old built up models at an estate sale. They were all from the late 50s thru late 60s, SMPs, AMTs, MPCs, Etc... The built cars were all put back into their original boxes with all of the unused parts, Instructions, And decals. I thought that was really cool, Kinda like a time capsule. Since then, I display my builts till I need more room, Then I put them back in the box, And store them in my model room closet. This also keeps them from getting broken. If any parts fall off, They are right there in the box to be reattached. Also I never throw models away. Even old flea market glue bombs or cars with missing parts can be used as parts for other builds. Ed
