  1. It's been a while since I updated this project. I have been working steady on it, but there have been a LOT of parts to make. The engineering is a blast, but time consuming. Transaxle and parts. Carbon fiber leaf, push bar, lever action shocks, and other bits. Hosted on Fotki Aluminum steering wheel with nurled handles and thumb shifters. Hosted on Fotki Hinge for canopy. This will probably get reworked. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Caps on brake and clutch fluid jars and welds on water and fuel tanks. That worm thing is a practice weld. It took a while to get the technique down. Hosted on Fotki Here is the link to the entire build. Lots of pics. http://public.fotki.com/Scottcolmer/the-ti...enge/page5.html Scott
  2. This is how detailing should look...everything is there, it's custom, and it FITS. Best build I've seen in months. Hats off!
  3. This may work for you George. Just click on the pic. An update would be to use home made styrene flanges instead of photo etch. And epoxy if you do not want to fog the solder. Scott Hosted on Fotki
  4. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I like to create different stuff, because it is fun to look at and explore. Richard, Jocko is one of my favorite hot rod heros. The land speed car of your freind is killer! I occasionally take a trip to El Mirage. Maybe I,ll see that car. The canopy is my own design. The shell is two Aerotech fenders mated together and rehaped to reflect the inset "spear" on the side of the car. The black windshield is a buck used to shape the clear windscreen below. I made it from some old Squadron Thermoform. Heat until soft and pull down over the buck. This shot is before final trim and polishing it to clear again with a paint polish kit. I've been told that if you use a good hairdryer to heat the plastic it will not fog. Zukaholic, Thanks for the tip. I'll look for those blades. I still have all ten fingers too - despite using one after a glass of wine. DUMB! CA glue closed it right up. Scott Hosted on Fotki
  5. It's getting closer. A few more small projects and I'll be ready to break it down and start painting. Thanks for the previous replies. It keeps me gluing and sanding. Scott Hosted on Fotki
  6. Excellent rendition. Superior work. Big smile when I saw this one. I agree that the original, although corny, was better. Seriously, a gotta smile at The Blue Jean Blues. Scott

  8. I really like. The simple ones have some of the greatest impact. Scott
  9. He created the BMWillys, Secruity Express, an unbelievable 32' and a couple others. I would really like to send him a message. Hopefully he has a site so I can see more pictures. Scott
  10. I've been doing line drawing for years but was unable to have any luck adding color. A few years back I wrote Jarius to get some advice. He said get photo shop. I still need to figure some stuff out like masking. But I got a pretty good start. Thanks Jairus. Always a big fan!!!! Scott Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  11. Miss Deal, Revellion, and that red AMT (MPC?) blown vette roadster.
  12. Hey Kurt I've been trying to remember. ZR-6? Help am old guy out here. I'm totally blanking. Scott
  13. Glad you like it! Yes. It's a AMT 57 Vette body, narrowed and reshaped.
  14. Howdy, With the exception of the cowl from the paddy wagon and grill shell from a Street T the body, interior, most of of the chassis, and the distributor, headers and injection are scratchbuilt. This one took a year to finish. Scott Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  15. Howdy, This my first time posting here. I have been at this for about 40 years. Not this particular model, just building models in general. I has always been hotrods, race cars, and show rods. I am an uncontrolable scratchbuilder. This is my latest effort. It started as a challenge from another online modeler. It's about 6 months in and has gone few a couple design changes. Fabrication is just about through. Then the paint starts. Hope you like it so far. Scott Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
