  1. Your hard work and patience has obviously paid ogg! Great job!
  2. Great job! Is that the narrow nose you were talking about for your firetruck!
  3. Awesome! I'm not(wasn't) a truck guy, but this stuff grows on you, ya know?
  4. An attempt at weathering! These we're the guys pushing the race cars without self starters in the dirt! Link to the pictures, I don't know what my photobucket is trying to do right now! http://public.fotki.com/slimlouis/haulers-...eep-push-truck/
  5. Cool!
  6. The art of weathering is still eluding me, it is on my list of priorities! Lizard, I believe we've had this discussion before. I have attempted to make dirty, but getting realistic "dents" in styrene, (or resin) intimidates me. Check out my latest "Jeep" post in this section! Thanks for looking and the comments! Your input is my inspiration!
  7. I bought two of these kits off e-bay a while back with parts missing and no instructions. One was partially started, too! I have no knowledge of big trucks but I liked the way this one turned out. I think I have enough parts leftover to build the other one, but I think I'll cut the sleeper cab off, just for kicks and giggles! This build depicts a rather well funded touring series team, like 80s ASA from the midwest. It is a fictional build, hope you like it. Here's the link to the entire conversion: http://s43.photobucket.com/albums/e386/sli...C%20Astro%2095/
  8. Incredible job, great fab work! Love the tail lights!
  9. Another great looking build, thanks for sharing!
  10. Fire Trucks are awesome, you are very good at building them! I love it!
  11. This is a great kit, I gotta get me a couple before they are gone! This will be a cool team when you get it done, looking forward to the progress!
  12. Thanks for the warm welcome fellas! Hey Liz, I am 15 minutes from downtown Memphis and around 300 miles north of Louisiana! Nice to see ya'll you here!
  13. I would be willing to bet that you do, indeed, have enough skill to pull it off! Looks good already in primer, and how about that diarama! Heck yeah!
  14. And it still turned looking really nice, Billy, good job wrestling with it!
  15. Thanks Jerry! Yeah they were pretty sacreligous with them! What kind of body on who knows what chassis, with a I don't know motor! That was pretty cool, back then. Check out my Stude WIP in the workbench section, Boss 429 and 57 Chevy chassis! Gotta love it!
  16. Opened up the hood and trunk of a Revell wheels of fire snap kit, and placed it on a well detailed AMT 70 Monte Carlo chassis. Rules state that a street stock must be OEM factory stock except for the cage, fuel cell, seat and other safety features. Had a lot of fun making this "bomber", hope you like!
  17. Now I like this one!
  18. It sure turned out nice!
  19. Whats the trap door for and what does "Groking It" mean?
  20. Sorry, I forgot about the white, those are commercially made, I qualified that on another forum and forgot to do so here! The blue is the same paint, shot months apart over I don't remember what undercoat! I like it like that, gives a taste of 1-1 realism for racing. You replace a door or fender, give it a quick coat, looks different! Ya know? Thanks for the questions and comments!
  21. Anyone stay in touch with the staff of Scale Auto Enthusiast before Kalmbach?
  22. Awesome job, love the bed! Great weathering!
