  1. you know, i hate to do the calvalry thing but you should have gone with the AMT kit it has the solid top roof on it funny thing, im buildint the AMT kit as a T-top so i had to cut mine same colour as yers too
  2. you painted your paintbooth ? seems like overkill
  3. i like it the car looks very real the only thing i would comment on (dont take this the wrong way) is the red paint on the seats, they look plasticky rather then leather i would suggest a duller paint for that next time (the paint looks awesome on the engine plastics though, same paint ? )
  4. nice job on the dual headlights how'd ya do them ? also, dont forget the towhooks on that front bumper looking good so far
  5. great looking cop cars specifically love the dodge i am not sure if i like the striping on the hood but the sherrifs decals are a perfect match on a slighty unrelated note, now im in the mood for bacon
  6. read up on here and see how your fellow modelers make due http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.p...c=13906&hl=
  7. can i see a shot of the bottom of the car ? i mean, most if not all manufactures will put their name, the model and the year represented right there
  8. here are some of mine in the required colours and to finish it off....
  9. that thing is awesome does it have en engine ? or i it curbside ? iether way, it looks sweet
  10. i like the idea BUT you are not thinking BIG enough let me show you what i did with that same kit that is a blown 572 CUI ford bigblock in there it came in the bigfoot truck let me know when yours is done.... we'll race
  11. looking good so far i have lways loved the look of that hood of all the challys i build only one of em had that style hood and that one i didnt get to keep
  12. cool idea i dont know of anyone who makes a 1/24 RT hood now, if you are willing to build a 1/25 version then there are the vanishing point 1970 RT the johhny lightning 1970 RT (this will be a pain since it is a ragtop) and the new revell 1970 RT/TA
  13. im with DWC i bought an air compressor at aldis oncee and it rocks but too be honoust, i never use it for that i have a small 1 gallon one i use for airbrushing maybe you should go yardsaling and see if you can find something because it is just so much easyer and it will pay back for itself soon enough

    66 GTO

that looks good, specially the undeside of the car i was wondering, did you hand paint the stripe ? is it part of the weathering detailing ? (it looks a littke faded, thats why i was asking)
  15. as long as the paint you are using is oil based you can use thinner to make it flow better as a rule of thumb, the more thinner you ad the glosier the paint will become so keep that in mind when working with water based paint (acrylics) you can ad water one more thing, does your airbrush have different sized nozzles ? because if it does, that might be your problem. i would use the medium nozzle (that what i use on my airbrush and i run tetors lacuers traight through it)
  16. i would suggest starting with a kit that hs opening doors this way the door jabs will be molded into the body whic will give you a good starting/reference point
  17. that is exactly the way mine are build i had a ford product once it got crushed between a dodge and a chevy who knew you cant go 3 wide down 16th street

  22. it is really up to you the deadline is october 2nd so if you feel confident you can finish your entry in 3 and 1/2 months then we would be happy to have you join us not too mention that i would like to see some more classis muscle in here, maybe something along the lines of a super bee ? regardless of what you decide to build, there is always room for one more
  23. id take a mopar powered mopar over any of this
