i remember doing 120 in my 1990 opel E kadett (last model pontiac lemans) with a 1.4 liter 8 valve engine once i got passed 90 i locked the doors cos i was afraid they might fall off it was awesome i wonder how my turbo passat would do on the autobahn oh yes, what i was going to say, if you do go with the checkered floor , go to your local wally world and pick up a roll of kitchen cabinet liner that would make a great scale showroom floor
-
i know who too, just scroll back a few pagers
-
yes, starting date is whenever (mine was a week or so ago) just let us know what your up to as far as finishing date, in still looking for input from you guys my preference is october first (thats 4 and a half months) like i stated before, if the build goes on too long the interest seems to die off

you would need another 7 or 8 of them and put them in a little group to make them match the value of the KS cars anyway i gotta tell you, im not sure if i dig this body, it look to me like they are trying very hard to make it look lile a 3000GT but then again, that was a very popular body style back in the days and ive even seen bodykits for GSIs that look like that (on the rocker panels)

you know, i think the decals do say 340 so well call it a 340
-
thanks i chose the big intake because i dont like the way the stock hood looks (just my personal prefference) plus i thought , a car with a custom paint job like this needs a decent engine i did some work on the interior this week but nothing too much too mention i also changed the tires to some larger ones in the rear im hoping to get some better progress pics over the weekend also, ive decided to tint the glass in this one not sure to be honoust i just put the dizzy where the instructions told me too (this is the 440 by the way)

ah yes this should be a car like bumblebee in the new transformers movie rusted up piece of poopoo on the outside and nothing but bilng under the hood also, i like it how it looks like the racing stripes are painted on with a roller
-
of what ?
-
cant go wrong with an animal on the hood but i was actually thinking of this porsche ive seen in a magazine a long time ago european yes but it doesnt count as a car i guess i'll count it as half a european entrie kinda like the french
-
you better be carefull with that you're gonna try tp peel out in a straight line and the thing will lift its nose up and do a half a backflip and you'll end up like a turtle on its back which reminds me , i was at a fair once and there were these kids with 4wheelers the 4wheelers had complete roll cages on them (like a hamsterwheel) and they would get a running start, lock up the front brakes and the rear end would kick up, and the whole thing would roll untill it landed back on all 4s and they would take off again that was a neat trick you know, not to stir the pot but i havent seen any european entries yet
-
im with you on the whole imagination thing which i why i capped the prerequisite of a picture of video of the car you are building long ago the way i phrased it in the rules was as follows: this is your car, build it your way, just let us know up front what the idea is and onces its done it has to drift so to awnser your question, if you build the model the way you envisioned it it DOES exactly match your representation right ? build the smonda build a smartly davidson for all i mind (im sure the car behind you will have no problem drifting with as much oil as those leak anyways) most importantly, make it your own and have fun i added you to the list hereby making the majority of the reveleaded entries american iron (mustang, caddilac isuzu (GM) my acura (build in indiana) and your Z06)

well finally some progress on this baby i've been reluctant to work on it because i wanted the paint to cure perfectly so today i did a little bit of work on here most notably, i test fitted the stacks (thanks bill) i also did some engine work i added some 20 gauge wires for spark plug wires but im not perfectly happy with it they are too thick so next time ill use a even smaller gauge (so no engine shots ) at any rate, here are 2 shots of the truck with the stacks (loosely on) they will get perfectly straightened before finally instalation

you know you're gonna need one heck of an engine to break grip on those tires
