easy, EXTREMELY cheap wooden bed floors
diymirage replied to Nick Winter's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
that WOULD be a good tip IF my bug came with a factory bed im going to have to do it the oldfashioned way i bought some styrene I beams and 1/16th by 5/16th (or so) wood to go in between them -
maybe it was a mistake of him to suggest a 3 mile course because even if he is a mile and a half down the track by the time i hook up that still leaves him with another mile and a hlaf to go
-
thanks there are one or two tiny drops of gold paint on the roof and trunk i guess i should have taped that off all the way but ill know for next time go right ahead it would be cool to you how yours looks
-
thanks i took some liberty in building the engine, it is the ford flathead that came with the kit i modified the intake from a ford 302 mustang (i think) to fit it so i could run a dual carb setup i just couldnt get myself to install the desoto firedome that was an optional engine in the kit gottal love those partsbox finds i find myself using mroe and more of them aswell

that is a very nice looking truck i build one a few months ago myself same grille but that is about it (i keep mine here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21003 ) i really like your paintscheme, those colours look good also, where did the sidepipes came from ? (my kit had sidepipes but they looked different then yours) heres just one pic of mine cos i dont want to crowd your topic

thanks there were a lot of firsts on this one, first custom paint job, first time using BMF, first time tinting windows all togehter im pretty pleased with it i was talking to my litle nephew the other day and we were thinking of building him a car with race stripes like that other then that i have some projects im working on, a acura TSX with 2 engines, a VW bug pick up truck (front engine rear wheel drive) and a little less ambitous, a 56 ford victoria which will be my very first gasser, it will have a blown 427 and wheels from a die cast dragster quote name='Foxer' date='Aug 9 2009, 08:19 AM' post='199823' That looks cool. Was the right choice of colors .. defiantly scaly! /quote thanks i was first going to try a green and gold or something along those lines and try to make it into a really cool reptilian paintjob and call it snakebite but then i decided on this because i always wanted to try shooting that gold with my airbrush once it was done i showed the wifey and she was like "hey, looks like a sardine" and that is how it became the sardine challenger
-
got her done today and moved her to the under glass section http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22123

hey guys, i finally got her done its called the sardine challenger because of the paintjob i used a piece of old screendoor that i taped to the body and then spraypainted through (stole the idea from a camaro i seen on here)
-

gravel ??? ###### i need the F bomb from the new fast and furious movie for that i read in car and driver or one of those magazines they just put a 2000 pound slab of lead in the trunk, behind the rear axle and thats how they got it to pop wheelies on dirt (the origenal F-bomb runs a twin turbo 406 pushing out 1500 HP)
-
if the wheels on your truck cost more then your truck itself... ...you might be a redneck nice build looks good you know what would really finish it of ? a trailer with a dirt tracker or a demo car on it
-
that is a nice looking build now, this is merely a formality, you understand, but when ever anyone post a pic of a focus i must challenge them to race your red bull focus againt my blown 572 focus

Suicide or Normal Door Hinges?
diymirage replied to TwistedFabrication's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
here is what you need 2 hinges and a peice of angle _________________________ I ...............O I.................I I.................I I.................I I O_______I I in this little drawing the flat line is your hood, the two Os are your hinges, the section in between is the angle and the Is on the front are the front of the car (ignore the dots) that is the basic idea the hinge on the front will move the hood slightly up and forward then, when the angle has shifted 90 degrees the second hinge will allow the hood to drop open feel free to shoot me a PM if you need more info, i beleive this is the easyest way to make this work -

Speaking of wasted money,
diymirage replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
he says: The Jeep is powered by the original 3.8l V6 supercharged and intercooled!!! The dyno sheet from the MFG of the supercharger states 295 rear wheel horse. Additional mods were done outside of the supercharger including high flow cats, Borla high flow exhaust, Gibson headers, CDA carbon fiber air box, ram air, 8mm wires, and iridium plugs. This is one very fast jeep! sp he does claim at the wheels HOWEVER it is still retardedly low i challenge you to find a eurospec vehicle with a 3.8 V6 that makes that little power (unless its running on 4 cylinders) but that is beside the point that things i fugly with a capitle FUGLY -

295 HP out of a supercharged 3.8 V6 ? that is RETARDED my 1.8 makes over 200 Hp and thats a ONE POINT EIGHT what a joker -
ive seen worse there was this one girl a while ago who sold her own virginity on the 'bay and there was this guy who sold his forehead for a month as advertisement space (he put a henna tattoo on there based on the buyer choosing) also, i think some guy tried selling a classis fender airguitar on there
