you know when i was 16-17 years old my only means of transportation were mopeds sometimes they were puchs, sometimes they were hondas, yamahas or suzukis i think i even had a zundaph at one point with the ecception of one completly restored suzuki TSX (with working oil pump) all these mopeds required premix of 50-1 gas to oil (i beleive the brits call it petroil) in those days moped were a common sight in the motherland and i remember more then a few small town gas stations that used this kind of pumps to mix and dispense this petroil nice pieces you build

all im saying is it reminds me of the early generation BBS wheels as were standard and several VW models and the stretching of the tires seems a LOT mroe common in that scene then in the japanese but then again, i really dont care for theJDM so i could be mistaken carry on
-
coming along nicely but IMHO you gotta find some better wheels for it other then that, no complaints
-
with all due respect i think your choice of rolling stock looks much more german then JDM just my 2 cents though the carbon fibre looks really good on the hood how will the paint be ? pearl white with no striping right ?

wow that looks greaat i agree with the comment that this one belongs in the real or model section i love the custom touches on it, rims, strobe decal, and silver chin spoiler i thin that might be what makes it look so real (that and the chrome on the grille looks great if all your models look like this id say 2 per year is time well spend -
i cant believe how little over there is for this build seeing how good it looks keep it up man , i like it (even though its a chevy)

Why our DNA is important
diymirage replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
since we're on the subject (or close to it) did anyone hear about this person in germany, the cops had found traces of her DNA on like 60 different crime scenes when they finally got ahold of her it turned out she was a employee of the company that made the cotton swabs and she had coughed during her work apearantly she didnt cover her mouth and got DNA on all the schwabs -
that is such a simple idea it is perplexing great job

this place is great for that i remember looking around on here and finding this picture : i thought it looked really cool and it was the inspiration for this challenger i build : -

-
i picked up a roll of cabinet liner at a garage sale for 50 cents last summer that is white/black checkered and looks great let me see if i have enough to send some out to you as for windows and tools keep your eyes peeled on the bay there are some kits that have both tools and windows in them (i bought one from there with tool boxes, a lift, and walls with a door and windows) as for wood, find yourself a good local hobby shop they should carry all that you need as far as wood AND styrene goes

well, let me be the first one to welcome you back to the hobby i consider myself a small fish in a large pond here but the great thing about this site are the people on it every one is ready to help with tips, advice and when needed even parts so...what exactly are you looking for ? what do you want to acomplish with the anglia and what do you want to know ? i suggest spending some time in the "workbench" section to see how others build their models then spend some time in the "under glass" to get some inspiration by looking at what other modelers finished models look like also, if there is something specific you are looking for read this section (tips and ideas) also, in the top right corner of you screen is a "search" button left click on that and then click on "more search options" now lets say (just for fun) you want to know about how to shoot a pearl paint you write "pearl paint" in the box then you highlight "tips tricks and ideas" decide if you want most relevant or most recent and finally click "perform the search" then you get this page (click on the link to open) http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.p...ite=pearl+paint and you read and see which on works best for you now, if that doesnt awnser your questions just make a new post in here -
that is exactly what thought it would look like nice job i think it looks much better, very street truck like as for the front gaurd, id say fix it first and take it from there, i mean, tape it on there and if it looks good run with it, if not, save it for later
-
i know, i wasnt complaining about it iether, just stating that i liked the originality of it and like other said, the body work looks very good
-
i think that is one of the main things i like about this place, being able to bounce ideas of people you might come up with something you would have never thought off on your own
-
not sure if i like it or not but i definatly aplaud the origenality of the idea
-
well, here is one on a toyota and here is one on my 53 ford basically what it does is ad a body panel on the rear end instead of or underneath the bumper that "rolls" underneath the body (hence the name roll pan) like i said, it gives the truck a much cleaner look FYI i an planning on building one for my bug
-
gotta love those bursts of actually getting something done also, have you considered building a rear roll pan for it ? gives it a lot cleaner look
-
i think it looks ok wont know for sure until everything is said and done though ut im confident so far try your local hobbyshop instead or ebay look for a product called "evergreen" styrene that should send you in the right direction

mhhh...i think VW is the except oposite of the volkswagen....to little i hijacked a thread in the "wanted" section and hopefully someone will make me a decal that says "wild-cart" no chop top in mind to be honoust, im not sure if that is within my skills just yet so im going to leave the roof at the height it is also because i want it to look like at one point it was a vw beetle as for the bed, it will hang over just a little bit im thinking right now to try to keep the rear overhang equal to the front but nothing is set in stone yet so i might change that later on thanks for all the nice words guys im not sure when i will have some more time to dedicated to this...got a docters apointment for the baby 2 morrow church seminair on tuesday nothing yet on wednesday worship band practice on thursday youth group on friday so maybe this saturday
