i am planning on building a gatling from scratch, just in case anyone decided to enter some of those pesky imports into the race no need to be wasting the big guns amo on them anyways, here is the only thing i had time to do today (gotta get to work) i installed raisers on the front suspension points this will get the fromt of the car up about 2-3 scaled inches give it a nice stance (i hope) ill ad raisers to the back at the very end -
that looks really good good job nathan
-
they even look better then some i did when i was 18 years old good job brendon, dont forget to make a Work In Progress post in the "on the workbench" section so we can all see how the glue model is coming together

my first instinct was to ask a woman, since they are the onces always shackling us down but then i thought, maybe you can find one in a big rig kit ?

good news people i checked all the differences (bront grille and rear pan right?) and all the parts fit both the 68 hardtop and the 69 vinyl so i will be entering the hardtop build up as a 69 model in this build (i wonder if i could start building the engine and such for the 68) "evil grin" here are a few more pics the chassis the body with a mapping on it and a racing seat from the partsbox (dont worry its not installed, just sitting there) -
yeah i've been thinking bout it and i just picked up some rods for a different build, so i might try sticking that in between first.

lol THAT is your weakness ? water? thats it guys, im entering a fire truck

wife made a call on the 68 revell special edition kit, thats a no go so this is my entry 69 charger RT (i might still use the 68 body because it does not have the vinyl top) and this is a little sumting i came up with for all the custom fabs i will be doing (first time ill use plastruct ever) figured i would build a scale model of a brake press to make some nice even folds -
added yuo to the list (list is the very first post in the WIP thread in the on the workbench section) you can also find the rules there and the progress of everyone else involved there is a 10 dollar buy in, ill send you a PM with my paypal account i kid i kid, its totally free man glad to have you on board

if you cant get it with a flashy paint do what all the big american sports do: get some hot chicks with big boobies in skirts to jump up and down also, i do have one special little paint trick in store for this baby. speaking of this baby, the wife forbade me to kill the revell kit for this build so its of to micheals to (hopefully) pick up a streetburner kit of the 68 (or 69) charger -

dont worry about it i was just mentioning it in passing by, doesnt matter anyways, i just got my kit in the mail and it is awesome i can see how people think it a shame to cut this one up for a custom build like this and even the wife thought i should get a cheap AMT to do it with so im not sure what to do now. guess i have 2 more days to decide right ? (its the revell special edition 68 charger that comes with the 440 and the hemi, awesome detail) -

i think i said the same in the general thread personally i dont see why some people couldnt tackle the same kit it would definatly be intresting to see how everyone makes it thier own -
any more progress ? this one is looking very good already, i cant wait to build mine i had one more quick question about the plastruckt stuff i picked up a lil package of evergreen 1/8th tubing what would be the best way to bend it ? stick it in really hot water ?
-
thanks my only concern is that since these wheels are quite open i want to make sure it looks decent prolly just paint it flat black how would you guys think about a car with no visable brakes up front and disk on the rear ?
-
added you to the list there is a 10 dollar buy in though, i'll send you my paypal in a PM nah, dont worry, i kid i kid

here's the rules . (with some added clarification from ######'n B in blue-from comments along the way) Read em over, and if everbody is cool with em, start posting pics of your unbuilt kits, or whatever you're starting with on Friday, August 22 ground rules so far this is what we have (if every one agrees) objective: to build a car that could (or has) compete in a demolition derby type free for all race. armed with horse power and fire power the car will need to be able to destroy opponents it cant outrun? Curbside models are acceptable, if not preferred as it's all about external appearance the vehicle: anything civilian of your own choice, hot rod, import, american muscle, car, truck, suv or econobox, unbuilt kit, gluebomb, or shelf sitter to start with. as long as it is not a military kit scale: anything goes? (i would prefer a 1/24-1/25 scale to level the playing field but that is just me) armour: home made or kit bashed, basically anything goes. build time: we start on august 22 end by march 1 ? Official start in "on the workbench" on Aughust 22 to conincide with the opening of the movie, with posts of what we're starting with (seems like plenty of time to me but this is my first build of too so...) records: i say we show WIP pics at every important step as well as one or two shots of the unstarted kit. i would also say we write a little biography of the car to explain the choice of car, armour and modifications (just so we can fully explain what we did to it) people so far in: 01 Kasteer : 66 chevelle station "death wagon" 02 Evilone : deathcalade/94 chevy impala 03 Diymirage : 68 charger "haz-mat" 04 Aaronw 05 ######'n Blaque : 65 "pony-ack-ack-ack" 06 Willy Survive : 62 pontiac catalina 421 SD "dekapitator" 07 Texas Funk : 66 rivi 08 Jantrix : chrysler 300 C "the spartan" 09 The Madhatter : 72 skyline GT-R 10 damncranky : mercedes wrecker 11 allgosvo : 71 cyclone "pchycoclone" 12 Zukiholic : mercedes benz M class 13 ajulia : 72 or-isf mustang "macho diablo" 14 Nick F40 15 JAFFA 16 84vanagon : 04 pontiac GTO "G T Obliterator" 17 kk916 18 dirk : 62 bel air ss "impaler" 19 ryansilva 20 randX0 21 kjadud0667 : 67 plymouth GTX 22 jarheadndn 23 casey429 : 70 chevelle "chevHELLe" 24 jones clayton : chevy sliverado "killdorado" 25 mr. mike
