  4. hey guys i got some decal paper for Christmass last year and i just tried it out today i printed a few tryouts on regular paper and they looked great then i put in the decal paper set the printer settings to photopaper and high quality changed the format from "text" to "text and images" and when i printed it everything looked way bleuer and a tad fuzzy is this normal or did i do something wrong ?

  6. i believe the question was not what is not but rather what it is
  7. thanks i did sign up for it the wifey was quite excited about the 50% off on the scrap booking refills seems shes interested in that stuff now that we have a baby

  11. sometimes it takes a bigger man to step away from a fight then to jump right into it as for me i dont have a dog in this fight so im not getting in it i would just like to make one general plea to anyone who feels like they need to adres this post.... keep in mind that this is an open forum and what you write will be read by members who are aware of what plays behind this post aswell as guests who are not. lets try to give our guests a good impression of our forum and not allow them to be blinded by this small and insignificant issue we are facing today. hope to see you all after the storm blows over Godspeed
  12. i used to have a 1990 opel E kadett 4 door sedan it came with stock 14 inch steelies on them i had bought a set of 17J8 mille miglias for it but when i installed them i noticed the rear fenders rubber the tires so i had the fenders rolled that only halfway solved the problem, now it only rubber when i wasnt alone in the car or the roads were bad...and i did a lot of two tracking in that car so they often were to fix the issue i ended up getting a set of rear springs from a E kadett station. this lifted the rear end up by about 2.5 inches and gave the car an awesome tilt i was so excited i could finally install my new rims i drove over to the local speedshop where i had all my engine work done and bought the mille miglias (among tons of other stuff) i fired her up, put the handbrake, dropped the clutch and fried the tires...even shifted into 2nd gear i sat there for about 4 minutes untill my front tire blew out it wasnt untill then i actually installed the mille miglias and the front tire that blew was proudly displayed on the wall in my garage this was almost a dedade ago now but your build reminded me of this
  13. my wife had a peeon once she had bought it before i met her so dont blame me it was years after we got rid of it before i dared buy another mopar
  14. i say, as long as we keep posting pics of flo, keep it open i would also like to take this oppurtunity to let those guests who arent members but happened to stumble across this topic know that this is NOT the way we normally handle our buisness here we are one big happy family and somehow we managed to get a few second or third cousins in today that dont work things out as the rest of us do. please dont look at this thread and draw your impressions about us from it most all of the time we are friendly and helpfull and respectfull folks somehow this one got away from us
  15. wait if hes on second...then who is on first ?
  16. thank you soo much for this tutorial David i have only one question....does this work on cars with a real leather interior ?
  17. more then a few for me two decades actually
  18. thanks im making pretty decent progress with it here is a sneak peak at the exhaust im planning on making (this will be my first time custom building headers from solder and pipes from aluminum so bare with me here) this is just a quick mock up, the final version will have the exit horizontal rather then pointing slightly down anyone notice those tires i found in the partsbox ? its like mounting a set of 16X195/65 tires on a 14J6 rim but luckily the good people at lock-tite make superglue now too
  19. thanks im very pleased with the way this is coming out so far (though the idea of some peggies does roll around my head now)
  20. to be honoust...im not sure yet if i am planning on putting a clear lens over them right now im thinking of going with something more "projecter: light looking the housing themselves need some more putty and sanding but you're right, they do look like the berretas you know what they REALLY look like ? (im gonna hate myself for saying this) a geo metro im not hating the look of it though he did pretty good last night, slept for 4 hours straight of course, i had something going on in my eye so i was on benadril which might have made things mroe bareble for me
  21. thanks for the compliment your probably right maybe ill fill in the front wheel wells a little bit more to narrow the gap some because i really do like the design of those rims and to be honoust, i pulled the rear end off about 4 times before i got it where i wanted it and id hate to redo all of that
  22. pre wired distributors FTW they will run you about 5 dollars a piece and as soon as the wifey get a job im getting me some untill then i keep using 1/8 styrene tubing with the inner hole drilled out a little further to accomodate the 9 wires needed (thats right, i dont use the kits dizzy) as for your questions on paint the best thing to do is try try try but first...decide what you are building and then find a picture online of an engine that looks like what you are building then take your cues from that i like using different coats of dry brushed colours
  23. got some more work done today i scratchbuild the headlight housings it is all i can do to them untill im done painting the rest of the body then ill detail in bulbs, reflectores and lenses these also show off the final stand nicely not quite as low as i wanted the rear to be but i guess it looks pretty impressive any opinions ? (in case any one is following this)
  24. i have never tried this before but i remember seeing aluminized insulation under the hoods of several of my cars i would say in order to replicate that you put down a little bit of a napkin and then put BMF over it (the napkin will give it the padded look) if you are building a show car you can put the BMF on there without the napkin so it can look like the mirror foil you can buy for the purpose of showing the engine off
  25. cool it looks like you and i are on the same track with our lowriders only mine will only have one lady on it and she will be better dressed and better looking then all 3 of yours also, mine will have a tan interior without carpeting and the body will be brown/tan/gold ill be keeping an eye on this build (to steal ideas ) feel free to scavenge my build for inspiration aswell
