  3. got the 3rd coat of paint done AND slapped on the decal (actually slapped on the decal between the 2nd and 3rd coat) so...here is a paint revail (keep in mind, i still need to paint the top black) starting on the back and then the driver side and finally a shot of the decal anyone wanna gues who modeled for the hood ? passenger side for good measure and a birds eye view the way i painted the hood was as follows first i shot a coat of german silver then i taped of the sides of it (like a frame) and shot a coat of RAF trainer yellow (shot it to look like a rising sun) once that dried i put on the decal and when that dried i taped a piece of screen door over the hood with the screen door in place a shot a coat of modelmasters true blue pearl (tried to shoot the ford engine bleu but it was to thick and wouldnt pass through the screen) with the true blue i shot basically half a coat to hit everything that i didnt hit with the trainer yellow noooooooow i gotta finish up the interior and call it good thoughts ?

  8. got some pictures of the second coat so for we have have model masters RAF training yellow and modelmasters german silver now i need to apply the hood decal (my first custom decal) then do a lot of taping and finish shooting the last colour, modelmasters ford engine blue hopefully onces that is on it will no longer look like a new york taxi cab
  9. very cool idea i build something similar a while ago (to give you an idea of whats waiting at the light ) its a ford focus (duh) with a blown 572 in it which reminds me, you're gonna need some bigger tires bro
  10. i stand corrected both of them are on my build list too aswell as fargos first caddy, the black one so tell me, how did you build the baracuda ? with door ? without ? grey door ?
  11. i just started putting my collection together me and the wifey wanted to wait untill she was done studying before starting to spend money on it she graduates this may so im picking up titles sporadically highwaymen is actually hers its a great movie the bad guy drives a radically modified 72 eldorado the good guy drives a slightly modified 67 plymouth baracuda with a hemi you like that one go right ahead and email me that list ill put it on my Christmas list

  14. be sure to tell her that i love her model its always great to see women getting into the hobby its always great to see young ones getting into the hobby this is double great i hope she stays at it and allows us to enjoy more of her builds
  15. as i mentioned before if you guys dont mind me draggin down the overall qaulity of this build i would be more then happy to drop in my 2 cents personally i like the pro street idea a lot better then any other but thats just my idea
  16. you sure it wasnt "sun" glasses ? i ran across that movie at wallyworld for 5 bucks so needless to say i bought it i am slowly building a car movie collection i have 4 titles in it so far bleus brothers smokey and the bandit highwaymen vanishing point its not much but it is a start
  17. thanks i apreciate the input as we speak i am waiting on the second coat to dry this is actually the base coat of RAF training yellow which looks a LOT like mopars butterscotch which is why i bought it in the firstplace for my chicken of the sea cant wait to see how the taped of parts will look once the paint dries properly then comes the hard part, decal placement and the final coat of paint before the clearcoat if you are wanting a sneak peak of the paint look up my sardinechallenger i will be using the same tecniques on the sides of this one
  18. looks nice so tell me, how are those modified stockers ? ive seen a few of em on the shelves and ive always been intriuged by them but i never wanted to fork out 24 bucks for a model where the box art tells me relatively nothing but...to be honoust, i did build the modified stockers hauler (53 ford F-100) and i really liked that one
  19. feel free to shoot the next one directly to my inbox
  20. if we are willing to download Ispell then we can type in this very window where we normally write our posts and at the very end, before hitting the post button hit the spell sheck button (top right) and have it check right in this window it saves a step also, keep in mind that this forum is in english and we often asume all our members are from the US and that thier first language is english
  21. thats what i did with the picture of flo in leather
  22. well, got a little more work done as you might be able to tell, i finished up the trim around the headlights i got about as much done as i can before paint sooooooo i started paint as you might have caught somewhere else i screwed up my decal but im gonna run with it anyway it just means i have to change the paint scheme some now the colours will be RAF training yellow (like the cuda in my avatar) with blue and silver and a black top the first coat went on last night it is model masters german silver metallic funny thing when everything is said and done this silver will look (hopefully) like it lays on top of the rest of the car
  23. fix the cigarette lighter
  24. if there are no other gunmetal accents on the car i would NOT paint the spokes gunmetal because the ratio of colours whould be off if it were my build i would iehter paint the spokes bodycolour OR paint the spokes, fuelcap, front splitter and rear lip gunmetal
  25. thanks for pointing that out its been a few hectic weeks here my son just turned 2 yesterday (weeks that is) so you can understand i might have been preocupied a little
