Gotta Give AMC A Thumbs Up Here
Berk765 replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My cousin said that he used to build up the top end of Ford 2.3 Liter 4 cylinder engines and he told me one of those engines was turning so many rpms that all the oil was blown out of the oil pan and it locked up during a race. When it cooled down they put some oil in it and it fired right up. My Mustang has the same type of engine in it so I guess I have nothing to worry about.!!! Try that with an engine made today and it's done for. -

Can I see a picture of that 427 big block? -

Beautiful Thunderbolt. I saw one at a carshow not too long ago. Awesome eye candy. I just want to eat it up!! -

I don't know the exact date of the "fun" yet. I have to go to another dentist office to talk about it. -
What type of clear enamal are you talking about? Is it like clear coat from a rattle can?

Is there a substitute for bare metal foil? Right now I'm using silver paint for the window trim in muscle cars, but it's just not bright enough.

What's your newest project?

The top part of the paint job looks like I'm looking into outer space. -
This is a good post. I bought me some sandpaper, and sanded my car body with 180 grit. I looked at the filler they have and my auto store has the Dynatron stuff and the Bondo.

What's your newest project?

I'm working on a 1969 Mustang fastback (affectionatly named Blue Thunder). It has a roots style blower with dual four barral carbs, and wide rear tires with torque thrust wheels all the way around. I'm going to add traction bars from a Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt. I'll paint it metallic blue, or maybe saphire blue. I wish I had a digital camera so I can post pics. I'll have to borrow one. -
What kind of engine did you put in it?

Happy Barfday!!! -
Yes that's what Ford needs to do. I wish Ford put more power in there cars. I'm a Ford guy myself, but that Camaro is impressive. Now they need to do a Baldwin Motion Camaro with quad turbos with at least 800HP. Sounds like an idea for a model huh? Hmmm....maybe I'll stick with Chevy and Mopars and forget Fords. But I can't I'm a Ford man.

I like the color. I like it without a spoiler, and the pony emblem on the trunk lid, but I would've left the front grill like it was. Just love those big lights in the grill, reminds me of the '69 model. I did one and it didn't turn out well at all. It just sits too high!!!! I might try to do another one.

Your favourite Box art
Berk765 replied to HotRodaSaurus's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I like the one of the '98 Mustang Cobra. Not the picture on the front of the box, but the smaller one on the side where it looks like it's in a showroom. -
I'll probably build a 1968 Charger, and the 1968 Mustang next. Seeing the pros finished models really inspire me.

How do I properly prep a car body?

Thank you very much. -

I have primer that is color place brand from Walmart, is that the primer you were talking about? Do I need to buy a sanding block? Do you basically start from the larger grit sandpaper, and gradually work toward the finer grit? Are you supposed to sand between coats of paint too? -
Psssst...wanna See More Of Jada's Shelby Gt500?
Berk765 replied to Zoom Zoom's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I thought that color was Brittany blue. Oh well, nice car. My dad tried to trade his F-150 for one of those V-6 Mustangs, but they didn't offer him enough money for his truck. -

That model looks alot better than the one Revell is coming out with. The stance is alot better. I've seen these kits before and they do need to inprove on the box art, because it just really looked crappy and made me not want to buy one, before you showed me the body and the wheels. -

I think the model sits too high also. -
