  1. Her's the engine, checking if it fits, Looks OK...Will have to install it before doing the interior...Well I'll try to figure it out first...LOL
  2. Thanks, Yes the interior will be a nightmare for me. Got to work on an engine first and it's positioning... then the interior paneling and dash. I'm a long way from home...
  3. Here is the completed chassis. It now needs some detailng, a lot of sanding and paint...
  4. I used .100 but should have used .080, those are a bit too large...yours would be good for a top fuel or a srint car
  5. Here's some more update. The bodywork is almost done, widened fenders, shortened wheelbase and fille sunroof. There still some finishing to do on it. The chassis got some of the secong tier done. http://media.fotki.com/1_p,rrgdrsgwtbwwsgsxrdsdbddwktrg,vi/bwggwqstkxgrgwswsssxrkgrqqbkd/7/620887/13832298/IMG_4235-vi.jpg http://media.fotki.com/1_p,rrgdrsgswwdkqfqxrdsdbddwktrg,vi/gqtwkrffxgkbrfgwkxrkgkfkkgs/7/620887/13832298/IMG_4236-vi.jpg http://media.fotki.com/1_p,rrgdrsgstdfdtqrxrdsdbddwktrg,vi/rtkwwfdgsxwsffrbtgdxbwgwtsrdb/7/620887/13832298/IMG_4237-vi.jpg
  6. From now on I will keep posting in the truck section since I made the mistake of posting in the wrong place, sorry about this.
  7. I used melted styrene. I just put some off cuts from the sprue in a jar and fille it with liquid cement. When completely dried it is as strong as the body plastic. I had issues with epoxies and cyano glues before so this tiem i'm trying this method. So far it is good but takes a long time to cure.
  8. Wow, Brent it is great building. You should finish it, that would be a beauty.
  9. Not sure, There still a lot to do on the chassis. I don't want it to look bare so will add some detailing to it when the basic shape is done. Theres also the interior paneling, the dash too, the racing seats... Not mentioning the fabrication of the suspension component. Plus an engine and a modified differential too. Then finishing and painting...I,m a long way from home...
  10. The finish chassis plate http://media.fotki.com/1_p,rrgtggfssgffdbwxrdsdbddwktrg,vi/kftkbftgbxrkgrqqbkdxrtbksqstb/7/620887/13832298/IMG_4216-vi.jpg The Fotki Album http://public.fotki.com/signmike/race-cars/race-trucks-asphalt/monster-energy-trop/ IMG_4216.JPG IMG_4216.JPG
  11. lot of design work has been done. Now I have to plan what parts I'll used that I won't have to fabricated. Tonight I finished grinding the body and filling the void with melted styrene. That will take a lot more time to cure but to me it makes a stronger bond. I started working on the chassis. I made the chassis plate with styrene. Here a first mockup
  12. That's crazy, I like it. Nice work sir.
  13. I saw what you are doing. It won't be the same as this one here will be a complete racing machine. I had plans to build one version like yours too. That will be something to whatch, take your time, as it is a nice subject...
  14. Here it is, I started this project last night. The Raptor body was shortened and the fenders enlarged. That's a beginning...
  15. I'll be using a snap Ford Raptor to make a Trophy Truck. I'll have to shorten the cab to make a small window in the rear quarter. Then I'll have to scrtbuild some fenders for it. The frame will be completely scratch and the engine will be a Nascar one modified to look modern. I think of using the shocks from a Monster truck but that's not sure yet. I already ordered tires and wheels for it Here the drawing I made to start with and some photos found on the web... http://media.fotki.com/1_p,rrgrbfwfsbswrst...dmedia11-vi.jpg
