I didn'd do a lot yesterday, but, for me it was, since I hadn't do an airbrush work from last April prior to the GSL Contest. I just worked with the body of the Tamiya Lamborghini Countach.LP500S. This is my hobby space, nothing fancy: A dry fit forthe body components: After some white primer, I sanded out the mold lines on the body, then some putty to fix everything up. Here I did a Scalefinished paint job for the first time ever and it was on this body. By the way, great paint! I also airbrushed some gloss black paint to the muffler tips and the wheels before an AlclaII coat. I was prettty impressed by how this paint performed since it's enamel and there's a lot of detail on this exotic body. The deflection of the inside of the dehydrator can be seen on the hood: Simón P. John, at least to me, one of the best models you had presented here, and is not as detailed as others you have, but this one has a touch! Simón P. Rivera Torres -

Tamaya Primers hitting the LHS
simonr replied to DON-T2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Although I know these are great news fors ome modelers here, I've never worried about about this, because, as I had always said, I prefer better the Gunze Sangyo Mr Surfacer 1000 big time over the Tamiya. One great news I receive last weekend was that I visited a LHS ans saw they brought the Mr Thinner from Gunze..Would this will a door they will open for the future?...Hopefully! Simón P. Model Factory Hiro 1953 ferrari 500 f2 update 2
simonr replied to The Phenom's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Nobody's here discussing who is the best or the worst in the Ferrari Modeling, because its a wide open matter that Alex "Is the man", but, is the same thing I trying to do for him that I have to add that you the luckiest man, because, I know other people that has tried it unsuccesfully, specially this model(the one his building) that as I far as I know was a limited trow 5 years ago. -
Thanks a lot my buddy! Simón P. Rivera Torres

Model Factory Hiro 1953 ferrari 500 f2 update 2
simonr replied to The Phenom's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I read in some place that Mr.Alex Kustov, an authority in Ferrari models of any period, told that its real hard to get a replace for a body from Hiro. I had contacted them in the past for small parts without any problem, but, not for some big components like bodies, you could end buying another model from them. Simón P. Rivera Torres -
Awesome build!...A question, do that place where you bought the paint for this model car is still up?...Because, I tried yesterday their site and says that the domain is on sale!!!...Let me know. Simón P. Rivera Torres

My friend, I found here a nice link were you can see some great of this Vintage Porsche monter racer that I hope can help you in some way: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jaeger-meister/5476291918/ Although you can get the bady here ready to paint http://www.ditech-produktion.com/Datenblatt__Kremer_935__K4_Gr.5..jpg Other K3'S famous racers: http://www.ditech-produktion.com/Datenblatt_Porsche_935_Kremer_K3__Gr.5..jpg The greatness of this mode car to me is that make honor in some way to what we can call "The last street car" that won Le Mans with its win in 1979, like in this classic race origins, where cars that could be found in the streets were the racers. After the Prototive cars enters, this turned in what I call "Frankesteins Cars". Simón P. Rivera Torres

MCW or Scalefinishes?
simonr replied to 250 Testa Rossa's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I had used both, the MCW for the first time in 1997 and the Scalefinishes in 2009, to me Scalefinishes for the looooooong mile if far better than MCW. I feel the MCW to delicate, but, have also a good selection of colors. Although I haven't use, I know Hiroboy's colors is the other collection to look in too. Simón P. Rivera Torres -
Hey Geoff, awesome project!...A question, Did you custom mixed the color for the interiors or which one you used? Simón P. Rivera Torres
