  1. I'll take some in the next day or so, and post them here.
  2. Thanks, Tim! Would I be better off using the 377 frame? Does it have the correct set-back? I assume the measurement you gave was from the front bumper, right? Thanks!
  3. Aaron, I grew up around those old R-Models, the company my Dad drove for had about 20 of them! The first semi I ever drove was a '57 with tandem rear ends. I was 14 yrs old! It had a 501 Red Diamond straight six in it, with a five speed main transmission and a three speed auxilary. I'm building one myself, and I'm planning to use a Cummins out of an AMT kit. The engine color was red on this engine. I think the V-8s were red, also. The big V-8's I've seen were 549 C.I.. The engine out of the C-Series Ford or even the Louisville would probably work, since you shouldn't be able to see the top side of it. Here's a link that may be of help: http://www.oldihc.org I checked out your website. I like the fire and rescue trucks you've built! Especially the older ones!
  4. I know this will be revealing my age, we used to use old Ford (pre-'49)axle housings for jack stands! I made a set from the AMT '40 Willys kit, but there are a lot of kits that had the separate housings, including kits that had Quick-change rear ends.
  5. That sedan delivery accepts the parts from the R/M kit perfectly. Only gripe I have is that it's an Impala, and not the base model. I thought about filling in the side strips, but decided to build it as a street machine and really jazz it up. I finished the chassis and the front half of the interior, then I got side tracked. It was forgotten until yesterday, when I "rediscovered" it. Now I'm back after it, at least for a while.
  6. Thanks for this info! Now I won't have to build that Doyusha '71 with the funky interior!
  7. I'm in! Not sure what I'll build, but I have several big barges that would qualify!
  8. I'd like to build mt Italeri Pete 378 with a set back front axle. Anyone have any tips or hints that might help me? Tim, Haven't you done one of these? Anyone else? Lee
